3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 bluevegie (2852) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - AUG 24, 2006
Hazy golden body with a large, tight beaded, white head. Aroma of some spice and also some fruit such as orange and maybe even passionfruit. Medium body, some cheese, some citrus notes and severeal other flavours, good carbonation and seems to have a long finish. Enjoyed this drop although my partner didn’t.

Of the t IJ lineup, this has the lightest color and the whitest head, but the flavor is a tad thin - like a singel (try Witkap Pater instead). Not much aroma. Overrated.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 harlequinn (2745) - Tacoma, Washington, USA - AUG 8, 2006
Another interesting trippel that I picked up during my travels. Slightly sweet, but not over the top or cloying. Cookie dough maltiness with some orage jamminess, thick sticky mouthfeel. Finishes dry, but has a wonderful lingering finish, like a dry sauvingon blanc.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 stouby (2721) - Holbæk, DENMARK - SEP 1, 2010
Bottle in Amsterdam.
Hazy orange with a small beige head. Aroma heavy malty (caramel, coriander, cinnamon, orange and cloves). Flavor moderate to heavy sweet and bitter, some warmth from the alcohol. Almost full body. Another fine beer from ’t IJ.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Enjoyit (2721) - Vadum, DENMARK - OCT 4, 2007
Hazy yellow of color with a white head. An aroma of dust, apples and oak. A flavor of wood, spice and dry notes.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 markwise (2696) - North of Tampa, Florida, USA - JUL 4, 2008
I wondered what horse blanket tasted like. This beer showed me. The aroma is barn-like, but has yeasty grassy notes as well. The body had some particles, but it had decent lace and white head. The finish was kind of bitter and the carbonation was very active. Overall I will not seek this beer out.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 Kinz (2694) - Glen Allen, Virginia, USA - JUN 11, 2004
More floaties than a kiddie wading pool. Medium gold, decent head. Aroma of barnyard and stale piss. This is the aroma of a funky lambic, not a tripel. Initial flavor of light honey descends into the bowels of funky yeast, redolent with flavors of faint lemon, barnyard, toast, and faint nuttiness from the yeast backwash. Not what I was expecting, but still quite the beer.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Storm (2685) - Amager, DENMARK - NOV 14, 2005
33 cl bottle. Yeast in bottom. Golden to amber colour with a big white head. Nice aroma of sweet orange and notes of yeast. Nice flavour of complexity, with a malty and warm finish.
