COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A golden Tripel-style ale. A little lighter in alcohol, but not in flavor, than Westmalle, and more drinkable. It matches the best of Belgium.

On tap @ the brewery. Pours a hazy golden with a white diminishing head and lacings. Sweet and fruity. Belgian yeast and banana aromas. Doughy hints. Low carbonation. Dry finish.

Very unclear hazy yellow/orange color. Smell is ok, taste is fair but ’overruled’ by too much carbonation.

The beer is very carbonated. The aroma is mildly fruit and floral. The taste has a definitive tropical taste with hints of mango and pineapple.

Bottle 33 cl, Cracked Kettle. Pours hazy dark amber with a small beige head leaving lace. Aroma is nice medium to full bodied yeasty, sourish, cloves and malty. Flavor is sourish, sweet, acidy, very malty, yeasty, fruity and has a small phenolic tone. Finishes bitter sourish and pungent.

Bottle at Schiphol airport. Pours hazy yellow with a small white creamy head. Aroma of dusty and sugary malts. Taste is spicy, dark candy sugars, fruits.

As soon as I crack the crown cap, a heady whiff of fruity aromas wafts out, with a suggestion of grapes in the lead. Hazy orange color, enormous crackly creamy head, casting a pinkish appearance in contrast to the body of the beer. Aroma is vibrant, dazzling, lovely, largely citrus and spice. Soft and sweet, with a slightly sour palate that remains throughout the finish. Somehow, I’m getting the feel of a lambic here, with the sourness and the fruit. Not among my favorite tripels, but a nice shot.

Draught. This beer is sticky and very unpleasant. I has the typical Dutch yeast taste which I don’t like. Very boring beer.

Huge thanks to SoLan who sent this as a bonus in a trade. Cloudy orangey/yellow, white head. Nose is lemon pineapple bretty goodness. Reminds me of a candy I used to like that was called Tart & Tiny’s. Awesome malt & yeast notes. Flavor is more of that tart & tiny, pineapple, yeast & light spicing (none of which I can zero in on.) A bit more yeast and breadiness in the finish. Extremely smooth body. Nice!
