3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Crosling (1861) - Loveland, Colorado, USA - JAN 14, 2005
Sampled at Stuffed Sandwich in San Gabriel, Califonria. Pale yellow with a gigantic head of white foam. Appealing nose of light fruits (pears and apples), bubble gum, spice and yeast. Airy, light and timid body. Big bubble gum flavors with hints of papaya, pear, apples, hops and yeast. I really like Ij and their beers.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 mgumby10 (1856) - Jupiter, Florida, USA - SEP 7, 2007
Pours a bubbly light golden color with a big, foamy off white head. Spicy citrus notes are evident, sweet malts, and candy sugar also show up in the nose. The taste is a little sour, a little funky, with tons of spice flavors. The candy sugar sweetness is apparent, but moreso in the background as the spices tend to mask it somewhat. The finish is crisp and sweet. Funky aftertaste leaves you interested. Solid little brew.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Vaiz (1847) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - JUL 24, 2010
Bottle at home. Clear golden pour, very thick solid foamy and creamy white head that leaves huge amounts of lacing. Aroma is typical ’t IJ, spicy with a slightly rough chemical touch. Nice though. Some alcohol as well and some sweet malts. Flavor is quite sweet and malty, with a rough edge again and some yeasty bits. Very lively carbonation and a bubbly texture.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 kiefdog (1826) - Tampa, Florida, USA - JUL 3, 2008
33cl bottle courtesy of markwise. Pours a cloudy caramel color with thin white head that diminishes rapidly and provides minimal lacing on the glass. Aroma is a sort of moist, wheaty breadiness with notes of barnyard and horseblanket. Some faint sweetness. Lively carbonation with flavors of grass, yeast and bitter lemon. Medium-bodied with a slight bitterness on finish.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 Gr0ve (1756) - Oslo, NORWAY - DEC 30, 2006
330 ml bottle. Orange golden colour. Clear. Small head. Same brett aroma as found in the dubbel. Apricots and strawberries. High in carbonation. Mellow maltiness. Quite light malt flavour. Some drying floral hops. Fruity and a little grassy finish. Infected. Seems like a problem at the brewery.
