omhper (10731), Stockholm, Sweden Apr 21, 2008 Updated: Apr 28, 2008Bottled, thanks ante! Muddy dark yellow, small creamy head. Almondy orangey nose. Sweet and medium-full bodied. Plenty of orangey, resiny hops and crystalized sugar. Evident almondy yeast character. Very bitter, almost inky finish. A rude beer with lots of character, not shy in any way. Papsoe (10580), Frederiksberg, Denmark Apr 18, 2008 (Bottle 33 cl) Very cloudy golden with big, floating impurities. Tall and lively off-white head that leaves some lacework. Lovely and fresh citrusy fruit aroma. Medium body with sweet, pale malts, lots of fruit and yeast. Fairly dry with a somewhat astringent, bitter hop finish. Still - I don’t really fancy these attempts of a hybrid between a hoppy US IPA and Belgian yeast. It’s not really a match made in heaven. 220308 yespr (6943), Copenhagen O, Denmark Mar 25, 2008 33 cL bottle. Pours hazy orange with a lacing white head. Yeasty and light spiced aroma. Light plastic note. Fruity yeasty and oily hops flavour. Ends with solid bitterness and a lingering fruity note. Mix of hops and yeast. Nice mellow yeasty and fruity flavour. I think this hybrid is quite drinkable. oh6gdx (6348), Vaasa, Finland Feb 12, 2008 Bottled. Orange to hazy nutbrown colour with mediumsized white head. Aroma is yeast, fruits and barnyard. Flavour is freshly cut grass and some alcohol. Also a lot of yeast and caramel. Most likely the strangest Double IPA I have ever had. argo0 (6231), Washington DC, USA Sep 24, 2008 (33cl bottle) Large and rocky off-white head atop murky apple cider body. Aroma is moderately sweet, orange, yeast/dusky, some herbal, light alcohol, grapefruit. Taste is moderately sweet, orange, some alcohol/medicinal, yeast, herbal. Soft, medium-full body.
