3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 12/20
330ml bottle bought at Bacchus Cornelius in Brugge more than a year ago. Pours brown muddy waters. Beige head, spotty lacing. Sweet brown caramel malts to the nose. The flavour is made up by sweet spiced malts, dried fruity notes and sugar. Sweet ending with alcohol warmth. Full bodied. Ok, a bit unvaried, though. Shared with Finn (Tromsø, 21.06.2012).

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Pours orangeish with a large head that quickly disappears. Smells very sweet and medicinal with some fruity and spicy notes too. Taste is very similar to the nose - a bit strange. Medium to light mouthfeel. Unique beer for sure, but don’t think I’d drink it again. Unless it was free of course...

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
What the hell, maybe this was a bad bottle. Dark amber/hazy orange beer with a tan head. Aromas of earthy funk, and leather. Tastes of sour milk, dirt, molasses, butterscotch candy, and some lurking terrible element. Dirty water aftertaste. Bittersweet mess of a beer, I might need to try this again to see if the bottle I had was bad.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Muddy beer from the first glass, looks like muddy water which destroys the beer. Heater all the way down, sweet and strong.

Not sure about the date, nothing to find at the bottle. Orange-brown coloured beer, head should hold a bit longer. Smell of fruits and spices. A bit of a metallic taste, fruits, caramel and slightly some earth.

3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Aroma of raisins, rum, brown sugar and toffee. Appearance is caramel brown with light, bubbly head. Flavor matches the nose; quite sweet really. The palate was lightly bubbly and the mouthfeel was thin. Not my favorite BSA.

WWWhat the hey, it’s been in my fridge for a wwwhile time to drink it. Lifeless and saturated caramel orange with no head. Ah, perhaps ‘twas in my fridge a little too long. Booze bomb with fruit, yeast and caramel on the nose. Taste of booze, fruit, caramel and a bit of bready malt. Hot finish.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a clouded-with-yeast-sediment reddish hue. Small tannish head that falls quickly and leaves no lacing behind. Big malty aroma. Bit of a sherry/port thing going on. Fruity. Sweet mouth. Malty and raisiny. Very good. Pleasantly balanced and a joy to drink. Might age a few and see how they hold up.
