Semi cloudy yellow pour. Earthy, grassy hops, yeast, and bread crust. Not very good, but at least the bottle is small.

On tap at The Trappist. Pours hazy blonde with a decent white head and a fruity aroma. There is a hearty caramel malt flavor with a dry bitter finish.

I am not sure I can tell what specifically the lime blossoms did in this but, hey, that’s the Belgian way. If you can taste it, you used to much. This stuff pours a nice enough hazed blond color--not poured too carefully by yours truly so w/ a bit of particulate matter in there--w/ a big white head that leaves lace in great, thick chunks. The nose is quite nice, a bit floral w/ some sourdough character as well but it tastes a bit thin w/ a dusty hop presence, and just a bit of tartness. Mouthfeel is light and the carbonation rather mild. I cannot say much more about this than it is drinkable but it’s not a bad beer.
1.6 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20 oteyj (1753) - Washington DC, USA - AUG 1, 2010
A clear yellow pour with some yeast sediment that quickly makes her opaque. The head is white and sudsy. I am met with vegetative earthen manure in the nose, with hints of rotting bark and grasshopper excrement. The flavor comes forth with more poo notes, though this time with a nice acidic lime juice note. the finish is of rotting cooked vegetables. The palate is medium bodied with supple pillowy effervescence and a clean crisp finish. Thoroughly nasty. Definitely not going to finish this one.

11.2 ounce bottle from Vintage Cellar in Blackburg, VA. Pours a hazy golden color with a medium head. Fair head retention and a bit of lacing. Aroma of candi sugar, earthy and nutty notes and a bit of citrus. The taste is bitter citrus notes with pale malts and a tart note. Medium bodied. 6/5/10

Bottle conditioned. Don’t pick up any lime blossoms except perhaps a slight hint in the finish, then again, maybe not.... Anyway, poured a small to medium off white head that quickly subsides and no lace. Aroma is yeasty, malty, leather, earth, minerals plus a bit of fruit and spice. Flavor is like aroma, sweetness comes out more and so does the mineral. Not that great. Body is ok and so is carbonation. Finish also has big mineral up front and altogether is medium in length.

330ml Bottle: Aroma of grains, malt, lime, light yeast, herbs, vegetables, and slight fruit. Poured flaxen/brown in color with a medium-sized, creamy, dense, white head that diminished but lasted throughout. Cloudy. Very sparkling. Many tiny and large particles throughout. Flavor is slightly sweet. Tastes of herbs, vegetables, grains, malt, and light time. Medium body. Smooth texture. Average carbonation. Disgusting lime, herb, vegetable, and grain finish. Drain pour!
