3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 french tickler (642) - Aylmer, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 13, 2007
Cloudy / Murky brown/amber poor with a thin head. Aromas of arrowroot cookies, cream cheese, brown sugar, nutmeg, vanilla and cookie dough... Somewhat creamy aromas... Start is mildly bitter and gets very progressive. A little less sweet than the aromas leads you to beleive. Great balance and mouthfeel. Nice alcohol finish.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Beershine (4561) - The Sunshine State, Florida, USA - OCT 12, 2007
A slight, pleasant sourness in the nose took me by surprise, as I was expecting either sweetness or spice. I cannot believe the 9% rating, as this dubbel is exceptionally smooth and feels light in the stomach. Could drink more than one at a time easily. It’s not as full-bodied as other dubbels but that’s not always a bad thing.

quite fizzy at the tip of the tongue, the flavors are pretty straight forward. its is earthy with a bit of grass, not too shabby.
2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 nick76 (3461) - Tampa, Florida, USA - OCT 3, 2007
The aroma is malty, fruity, and dusty, with caramel. The appearance is deep hazy amber with a small but foamy head. The flavor is like the aroma plus alcohol. The palate is OK. This beer is OK but not special.
3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 RblWthACoz (963) - Brooklyn, New York, USA - SEP 26, 2007
Pours a clouded ruby brown with a light creme head. Nose is strong with sugar and yeast. Flavor is slightly leafy with a mild bitter tone that doesn’t do anything negative to it. Distinct wood edge. Feel is good. Nice level of bubble and a smooth liquid feel. Definitely drinkable. But a little bit unusual and unique for the style, which is common from this brewery. Worth trying. Not sure if it would be worth it to go for it again.
2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 Bullit (3198) - Burgos, SPAIN - SEP 9, 2007
Brown colour, medium foamy head. Aroma is dusty, spicy, a bit of chocolate and dried fruits. Initial aroma is unpleasant, alcohol is very present. Taste is of spices, fruits and chocolate. Ends quickly into a watery and sour aftertaste. Below average.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 tytoanderso (1476) - SLP, Minnesota, USA - SEP 6, 2007
Bottle. Aroma of caramel, toffee, raisins and dried fruit balanced by some wood and yeast. Pours a unattractive murky brow. Fairly dry on the palate with some spice and chocolate notes. Creamy with good carbonation. Finishes a tad watery, though.
