Bottle, bought @ Vinens Verden, Odense.
Pours muddy, pale amber with a small, creamy, off-white head. Aroma has pepper, some cardboard, coriander and herbs. Fine mouthfeel, medium carbonation. Flavour is very flowery, tulips and roses. Light herbal touch as well.

33cl bottle at home: Hazy orange with an amber center. Yellowed tall and creamy head sits nicely on top. Turns to a rocky mountainscape after a while. Big malt and husky fresh grain aroma. Touch of grassiness. A nice "burnt earth" or wood-fired clay pot in the background. At first it is hidden by the grain and wildflower bouquet but as that diisapates the fired clay comes out. Sweet yellow cake starts to build up as well, but raw grain, malt, and wild flowers dominate. Grain husk, wheat, and some sort of wild grass come out first upon tasting. Alcohol note comes in the middle but never reaches the nose. Some oiliness in the middle too. Yeast, alcohol, yellow cake, grass and wheat take you on a long journey before leaving you with wheat, hay and a touch of wet newspaper. CO2 is high enough to keep the slickness of the beer from becoming oppressive. Very interesting but falls apart at the end a bit.

Bottle at chris_o’s angry fist tasting. Alround rating: Dusty house yeast, pale sweet malts, spicey peppery character.

Bottle: This is a very weird beer. Pours a hazy deep golden/orange with a dense white head that laces. Has a very unique aroma! Burning paper, tree bark, almost incense-like. Extremely unique. The body is prickly yet creamy. Has a very odd flavor as well. Plasticy, smoky incense spiciness? It has such a unique flavor that it’s hard to describe. Has a yeasty dryness which compliments the odd spicy flavors. It isn’t necessarily universally pleasant as an edible product, but it’s so unique and weird that I enjoyed trying to figure out the flavors. Very interesting.

Ethereal (2355) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 1, 2008
On tap at the White Horse, 25th August 2008. Doesn’t look great - a murky peach colour - but has a great aroma. Very floral with lots of herbal and candy sugar notes. In the mouth, it’s almost bitty there is so much suspended material. Sugar and spice (and lots of yeast) make this beer nice! Persistent aftertaste too.

33 cl. Hazy orange-copper with a small head that settles to a lasting quarter inch of cream. Sticky lace. Nose is dark bread, yeast, tropical fruit-mix, bubblegum, burnt matches and pepper. Flavors of peach, apple and light citrus are more than balanced by coriander, white pepper, burnt match, resin and wood. Light-medium body is astringent and bitterly dry. Interesting spices and/or flowers in this one.
