alright, this is not what I was expecting and I do not enjoy this. There is a strong taste of raisins and malts. However, the sour notes just don’t seem to mix well with the rest of the beer. This style might work with certain people but not me

Bottle, Beer 2 of PP Belgian Fest 08. Pours gold with an orange cloudy bright white ring. Nose is full of sweet raisans. Taste is sweet and potent with hints of raisans. This was quite nice in my opinion.

Bottled. A very sour tasting beer. Pours a reddish color with a soury aftertaste. Not too bad.

Small bottle pours pretty clear ruby color with a nice head, but none to spotty lace. The aroma is citrus, leather, Penicillium roqueforti, dark fruits, and spice. The flavor is serious fruit (tastes like a cider), sweet and sour, very wet, apple cider, with some wood in the finish. The palate is wet, sweet, fizzy, and very quaffable. Overall, if I were thirsty in high summer, I could drink a gallon of this. As it is, I am not that thirsty, but I like it well enough. I performed a yeast agitation and pour and it really does not change much. The sweetness and fruit do not change at all.

Hazy deep red. Sweet dark fruits and sourness. Sourness in the taste also - nice - and fruity sharpness, with liquorice and burnt malts. Perhaps even toffee in the finish. Good strong slightly sour beer.

Rusty red beer with a small foamy white head. Striking tangy fruit aroma. Brown sugar and plum stand out. The flavor hints at being sour but honey sweetness wins in the end. From sip to sip I get hints of tangy orange, bitter lemon peel, and fruit cocktail in light syrup. Amazing.

On tap from Max’s Taphouse in Baltimore during Belgian fest. You can’t ever trust a beer that comes with no head. Zero head on this beer, hazy reddish purple colored body that looks like pressed apple cider. Smells sweet with honey, yeast, raisins, and fruity esters. Flavor of orange, yeast, white grapes, and bananas. Clean and slightly watery slightly funk finish.

Bottled. Murky and deep brown with a medium sized tan head. Malty and sweet with heavy notes of raisins. Other notes of honey, caramel, spices and yeast.
