Pours deep bronze with a fizzy tan head. The aroma has a balance of thick bready malt and lively effervescence with white grapes. Some Belgium yeast is apparent as well. Medium body that’s lighter than expected with light sharp carbonation. The flavor starts with a citric and caramel blend and some yeastiness. The finish is crisp with dark fruit sweetness. A very enjoyable beer that hides its alcohol content very well.

Bottle: Dark caramel, somewhat burnt and thick, frothy light beige head, spotty lacing.   Sweet malt nose, minor raisin, even more minor grape.   Has a sort of Belgian Dubbel feel to it, maybe even a faint vinous quality.   Quite sweet on the tongue, even a touch of sourness.   Extremely light ash and/or charred wood at the back.   Somewhat fruity, in the dark pitted fruit sense, but more sweet and less heavy.   Its like a Belgian Dubbel thats less on the meaty/bready side, but more fruity, like a Tripel would be.   Body is moderate to full, with an moderate mouthfeel.   Clean finish, remains sweet and sour, fruity, with a spritzy trailer.   I quite enjoyed this one.   Somewhat like the best of both worlds between a Tripel and a Dubbel.   Dangerous in a 750ml.   ABV is quite well hidden too.

Hazy dark amber body with a light khaki head that dissapated quickly. Of course I see the label, but it definitely smells of rasins. Also, there is a little milk chocolate and some rich leather. The taste has raisins and cinnamon. There is also a little funky leather in the finish. A decent brew with a fruity twist. The body is light for the abv.

Pours a transparent dark copper amber with a nicely-lacing off-white khaki head. Aroma of some lightly sweet dark caramel and raisins, some light fruity tart notes and mild bready Belgian yeast. Body starts with a decent dark caramely malty sweetness, some nutty raisin flavor, and some fruity tartness that seems a little out of place. Other than that it would be a pretty nice beer.

Hints of a white head that leaves no lace. Cloudy amber color. Medium carbonation and medium bodied. Tart raisin nose. Flavor is tart raisins with no real hints of honey, higher ABV is not noticeable. 10oz glass, $7, on-tap at Ebenezer’s Restaurant and Pub Lovell, ME.

Murky brown pour with a thin light brown head. Aroma of yeast and tart fruits. Good flavor of yeast and fruits with a strong sourness that remind me of flemish sours. The body is light to medium with medium carbonation. Very interesting.

Bottle: Pours a clear copper color with a big off white head. Aroma, spices, yeasty, some honey, and some sugary sweetness. Flavor, honey, spices, light tartness, some sweet fruity notes, a hint of funk, oranges and banana towards the end. This was pretty good I thought.

Pours a dark amber with a nice white head. Super thick sediment on the pour, and the nose gives off a real sweet/sour character. Nice tart apple like bite on the front palate, with the honey, and great spiciness following into the finish.
