Got a bottle here that is non-standard: Some very sticky wort (?) dried & running down down the side of the bottle. Upon opening the dark sticky stuff is coating the inside of the mouth of the bottle. Poured a huge tan head that mostly settles down and some lace. Color is one of the more clear beers of this brewery, but still a bit hazy dark amber with little bits of very dark sediment. Aroma is malty, aromatic dark ripe fruit, yeast. Taste is like aroma. Good body and carbonation. Finish is raisins, malt, yeast, sweet, nice, and of medium length.

Beardface (1480) - Eugene, Oregon, USA - MAY 14, 2010
Bottle from Bier Stein, purchased by Ty. Poured a golden, honey-like color with a decent 1/2" head and some solid lacing. The first whiff was an interesting melange of honey, raisins, figs, candi sugar, some caramel malt. Flavor was also big on the fruitier side, with the raisins again playing a major role with the honey and and some fainter caramel notes coming through as well. Solid effort, would drink again especially since it was different from the norm of the style.

Muddy brown pour. Nose and taste of plums, raisins, sweet beet sugar, honey and dried dates. Slight hint of alcohol. A very pleasant drink all around.

330ml Bottle: Gusher! Aroma of malt, yeast, light dust, light caramel, slight raisin, and some must. Poured brown in color with a huge, 5/6 of the glass, loose, tan head that diminished but lasted throughout. Cloudy. Not sparkling. Full of tiny, small, and medium-sized particles throughout. Flavor is medium to heavily sweet. Tastes of malt, light cherries, light wood, slight cocoa, light hops, dust, light yeast, slight raisin, light caramel, light fruit, and some toasting. Medium to full body. Dry texture. Lively carbonation. Malt, light wood, slight raisin, and dust finish is dry. 8%ABV is completely hidden throughout.

On tap at the Memphis Taproom. Pours a hazy brown with a medium thick beige head. Candy and cola on the nose, malt and plums, and a bit of lemon. Big candy and malt and plums. Chewy. Light earthy hop bitterness.

Pours a hazy golden brownish yellow color. Aromas of grainy malts, yeast, and a touch of hops. Flavor was kind of bland, herbal with some sweetness.

Eructoblaster (2043) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - MAR 28, 2010
Bottle - 330ml. Hazy amber body with a lasting beige foamy head. Rich malty/hoppy aroma with grainy, yeasty, and vineous hints. Alcohol is well hidden. Strong, well balanced taste that carries plummy and yeasty notes. Ends with a decent bittersweet finish.

Paladar exquisito y final largo. Excelente. Overall: for me the most complete belgium ale/strong ale,19/20.
