Serving: 330 ml. bottle from Sperryville Corner Store. As soon as I popped the cap on this one it erupted. Not the best of signs. It pours a nice amber color with an effervescent, off-white head. The head is very active but lasting. The nose is a touch sour with light notes of honey. A very light nose overall. The taste is very sweet with notes of honey, raisin, and an off tart note. It also had slight medicinal and metallic flavors. Further clues that this one might have been infected. The flavor is all out of balance and is cloyingly sweet as well. It has a somewhat rich mouthfeel but all that carbonation lightens things up a bit. The finish is lengthy and sweet. I will definitely put this on the re-rate list. Not really recommended as is.

Pours a deep hazy amber color with a tan head. Aroma is raisins, honey, caramel, a touch of brett, and sone earthy spice. Flavor is caramel, raisins, honey, earthy, a touch of brett, and a bitter astringent finish.

Hazy dark amber colour with fine head. Sweet beer too much acidic flavour for my taste. (backlog).

Bottel. Small offwhite head, mostly diminishing. Cloudy amber color. Malty, fruity aroma. Sour taste.

330 ml bottle. Dark golden body with a disappearing off-white head. Aroma is malt, brown sugar, slightly spicy, yeast and some acidity. Flavor feels rather light, but still rather strong malt and caramel, a bit sweet and sour with a hint of acid, yeast, spices and a light touch of honey. Also vinous and a pleasant level of oxidation. Nice body, nice balance and very pleasant without been extraordinary.

Dark maroon color with a very large light tan head hat is long lasting and leaves a tiny-bubble lacing. Aroma of dates and caramel, with some light spice and a background of grapes. Immediate butterscotch and toffee with a sweetness that builds to a crescendo level. the finish had a slightly sour edge. Thick and chewy. Odd combo of sweet and sour that takes some getting used to.

Draft @ Brugs Beertje. Brown beer with a whhite/beige large head, lacing well and lasting. Aroma is next to malty also a bit woody, some light sweet touches in it. The taste starts light sweet, next a specific light fruity malty taste is coming up and in the end a light bitter finish comes into your mouth. Some alcohol notes also. Nice beer to drink with a nice evolution in it.

24th July 2008. Cloudy brown beer. Manages to be sweet and sour at the same time! Some citrus dryness underneath. Sweetish end. A shade different.
