Bottle. Not much head with a brown/copper color. Aroma is malty which dominates any spices. The flavor ain’t much different, with caramel and anise.

Bottle. Spice aromas clear the nose along with yeast. Caramel body with foamy head, lot of floaters and some mud sediment found on bootom of glass. Spice and yeasty bread notes along with some medium coriander and some sourness. Spice has a burning affect on palate and left a dryness also. Does have an alcohol warming affect on body with some numbing in the face from alcohol. Whew!!!!

Murky nut brown color, creamy beige head. Aroma has yeast, peach, spices (something else than coriander). Port wineous but with some carbonation, not very alcoholic palate .. spices, yeast, plums, "aged in oak barrel" tones - similar to Harvey’s Christmas Ale, but we slightly carbonated. peppery aftertaste. Doesn’t feel like 11 %.

Pours a murky dark amber color with a thin offwhite head. Interesting aroma of spices, yeast and fruits. Good flavor of spices, yeast and fruits, the spices are well dosed, there’s just enough. The body is medium with a liquorous texture and moderate carbonation. I haven’t tasted a beer from this brewery that was world-class amazing, but their beers are always solid and sympathetic, and this beer is a good example of the quality of De Regenboog’s products.

Thanks to Santa for this one. Pours hazy copperym but less brown than the BBB63 or the Dubbel. Aroma is malty, x-mas spicy, with some estery fruity, floral, and yeasty notes. The taste is x-mas spicy, malty, sprucy, with a solid dose of citric floral spicy witbiery hints, although this has far more body heft and assertivelness than a witbier. Call it a 50% witbier on steroids mixed with a hefty Christmas ale and you’ll be close to a rough description. If Regenboog has a monaestery, I’ll gladly take whatever vow they need, as long as I have a ready supply of their beer.
