Ungstrup (11378), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jul 24, 2005 An unclear amber beer with a small white head. The aroma is primarily of sloe, but also of malt and hops, while the flavor is sweet malty with notes of both black currant and sloe. I think this is a nice fruit beer - I’ve had plenty of sloe snaps - but to put it in beer is new to me - and a good idea. Papsoe (10367), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jul 23, 2007 (Bottle 33 cl) Pours a very cloudy, reddish amber with a small, dissipating head. Slightly tart and berryish head. Medium body and rather dry - and also in the flavour you get a slightly tart sensation - but no real malty feel. And no real bitterness either - just this very dry tartness. A nice and refreshing summer beer although it’s actually a winter seasonal. 210707 yespr (6889), Copenhagen O, Denmark Jul 6, 2008 33 cL bottle. Pours hazy orange with a crispy and collapsing pink head. Light lacto to brett and berry fruity aroma. Dry towards woody aroma. Dry woody and berry fruity flavour. Once again a mix between lacto and brett flavours. Berry acidic to citric flavour into the finish. Dry and woody. joergen (6529), Frederiksberg, Denmark Mar 22, 2006 Bottle.
Hazy orange red coloured with a white head.
Light acidic aroma of berries with notes of spices.
Flavour of berries and spices. oh6gdx (6334), Vaasa, Finland Apr 7, 2008 Bottled. Hazy orange colour, huge sparkling bubbly head, which vanished quickly. Aroma is very sour and tart fruits along with some spices, nuts and berries. Flavour is very much the same with a lot of yeasty notes added in also. Quite bready notes too as it warms up.
