Orange colour and unclear. Has a white head, mostly lasting. Aroma is sweet, red fruit, berries, lots of carbonation. Sweet flavor, some spicy notes, a bit astringent, moderate bitter finish. Lively carbonation.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 FatPhil (5970) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - JAN 9, 2011
330ml bottle (Bruges Bertje)
7 Lovely toffee sweetness, simple light malts. Touch of banana
4 Rich orange, slightly hazy, brief fluffy head settles to a ring
7 Retronasals initially honeyish, but segue to liquorice quickly. Very complex taste for a blond - everything from the aromas and retronasals stays, and they sit above a healthy herby malt body. With more yeast, it’s much grainier.
4 Finish extremely liquoricey, unbelievably so for a light ale
14 definitely strong, but not boozy. Softened and more toffee-ey with more yeast in, that’s recommended.
2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 Nisse666 (1973) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - JAN 3, 2011
Bottle from cracked kettle cons 2011-01-04
AR: yeasty, overripe citrus fruits (on the the edge to be rotten)
AP: hazy amber, 4 cm high fizzy bone white head, slowly dimishing leaving some bits of foam
F: strong yeasty flavor - hard to detect anyting else, to much. Great bitterness, black peppar spiced pumpkin soup, mucho dry finish, not my kind of brew, perhaps a bit infected???
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 TheJester (1230) - Peterborough, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 3, 2011
Sample from a bottle at Mondial de la bière. Golden orange with a ring of head, and a moderate amount of suspended sediment. Aroma of yeast and slightly overripe fruit. The flavour is herbal-bitter, with some fruity sweetness, smoke, berries, yeast and booze. Quite complex. It sweetens as it warms. Dryish. Nice beer.
4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 jesperhammer (1294) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - DEC 28, 2010
28-DEC-2010, bottle @home, from "Magasin".
I open the bottle cautiously over the sink, and I spill a little due to the burst of head out of the bottle. Ha, I am beginning to know my belgians...
...I was prepared this time.
I fill the glass slowly and it is 5/6 head and 1/6 body!
As the off-white head sinks it reveals a murky orange body. No doubt there is yeast sediment in it.
Nose is sweet and spicey. Sweet like in mandarin and honney. Spicey like triple-spicey. Really complex taste taste with the same elements. Body is very very creamy with a fantastic carbonation.
Taste is sweet, but I really think it is bone-dry in terms of residual sugar. All the sweetness comes in form of honey or fruittastes.
This is a beauty. My first pumpkin brew I think, but I cannot find the pumpkin here. I guess that’s a good thing:-)
3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Baltimorioles (37) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 19, 2010
Weak aroma of clementines. A little bitter, subtle well balanced autumn spices. Medium carbonation.
3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 tderoeck (1179) - BELGIUM - DEC 15, 2010
11/12/2010 - 33cl bottle @ home
A little cloudy, orange to amber coloured beer, thick white head, unstable and non adhesive. Aroma: alcohol, chemical, yeast, rotten stuff. MF: little too much carbon, medium to full body, thick texture. Taste: alcohol sweetness, malts, fruitiness and hops. Aftertaste: hopbitter, a little metallic, spices. Not bad, not super duper either.
