bottle, pours dark orange, medium white head. The aromas are distinctly pumpkin, and yeast. Good sweet malt profile with some spice in the finish. Not bad.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 MoritzF (7137) - Bochum, GERMANY - JAN 19, 2009
[33cl bottle] Hazy, golden colour with a mid-sized, not very persistent frothy white head. Sweet and slightly yeasty cara-malty nose, slightly fruity with a distinctive veggie note, which must be the pumpkin. Sweet flavour, full bodied with a creamy mouthfeel. Robust malty base with light fruity notes and again the pumpkin-veggie touch that overpowers the rest of possible other flavours. Sweet and almost slick, also a bit alcoholic finish. May be beyond my understanding [10.I.09].

Snub bottle, Halloween bottle, hell yeah, via trade with ygbtsm, thanks Brad. Pours golden orange with a tan head. Nose is sweet and light and indistinguishable. Taste is sweet and quite light. No way this tastes like 10 plus %. Gotta say I like this but I can’t really say why.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 TaxiDriver (1372) - Stadland, GERMANY - DEC 31, 2008
Bottle. The beer smells fruity and a little bit of yeast, also quite sweet. It has a little fizzy white head with a normal duration. The body is clear and dark orange. The taste is very bitter with a long duration. It’s dry with a lot of carbonation.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 piscator34 (1582) - Winnipeg, Manitoba, CANADA - DEC 12, 2008
Bottle sample via lubiere. Murkey orange in colour with strong carbonation. Aromas of yeasty whole wheat bread, mild sweet citrus, menthol, white grapes, flowers, and a bit of oak. Strong sweet tangerine in the mouth, along with a whole lot of savory herbal notes. Mild marshmallow and tropical fruit notes are also apparent. The alcohol is quite strong. Medium to light bodied, with a fair amount of bitterness. Fairly interesting and complex, but the strong booze element spoils it for me.

Tap at Mug Ale House Belgium to Brooklyn event: Pours a hazy golden without much head retention. The aroma has that dusty house yeast I associate with T Smisje- has some odd spicy phenols, crisp fruitiness reminiscent of apple cider, and pear skin. Prickly feel with a sweet and spicy flavor. A touch of marmalade character comes through, apple cider fruitiness followed by some dusty phenolics, peppery alcohol and other various spices that are hard to pinpoint. Fairly nondescript in its spicy finish. A bit simple overall, but not bad.
