Dorqui (1547) - Brescia, ITALY - JUN 29, 2006
Fraught yellow color, much dense one and hazy, optimal fizz; presence of some sediments. Light head, a lot escaping. Extremely alcoholic with clear mildew and winy scent . Decided, solid, warm and overbearing alcoholic taste. Notes of whiskey and nearly grappa. Decidedly sweetish and mellow with a long end. Too many excesses by me.

Bottle@Delirium, Brussels. Quite strong and alcoholic in the nose and flavor. Lots of stewed peary/peachy fruit, with some yeasty bitterness and alcohol burn in the finish. I like it, but its strong and it shows.

Bottled. Hazy nutbrown colour, big foamy off-white head. Aroma is sweet fruits, alcohol and yeast. Yeast pieces also floating around the glass. Flavour is fruity, yeasty, a bit barnyardish and spicy. Spices and alcohol dominate the finish. Wellbalanced, but a bit boring.

kook (2033) - Perth, Western Australia, AUSTRALIA - APR 21, 2006
Bottle (10.5%, newer label): Cloudy orange coloured with a short white head. A few yeast floaties, even with a careful pour and sitting for a week. Aroma is midly bready and has a strong fresh fruit element. Some light allspice there too. Flavour has fresh fruit, mild light pepper and spice along with a hint of alcohol. Not bad, but not the best tripel I’ve had.

Bottle. Cloudy orange coloured with a huge off white head. Sweet fruity aroma with metallic notes. Sweet fruity flavour with notes of spices and hops. Hoppy finish.
