Orange coloured beer. A medium head, should hold a bit longer. Smell is unpleasant earthy-spiced. Some yeast and sourness. The taste is to sweet at the start, the yeast and fruits makes it a complete mess it seems. The biterness kicks in at the middle, stays a long time, but the weird earhty-spiceness ruines it a bit. Expected more from this one, after I tasted 2 better brews of this brewery.

Pours a cloudy dark orange beer. Big head on pouring, disappears fast, no lacing. Aroma: very pronounced yeast smell, sour, fruity, some hops. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: sweet malty, almost sugary. Tender yet flavourful hoppy, spices, mouth warming alcohol, citrus. Aftertaste: still the numbing alcohol in the back of the throat, citrus fruits, some spices and dried fruits. Not bad, but not exactly exciting either.

Tap at Max’s Belgian Fest 2010. Pours a hazy golden yellow with a thin white head. Aroma is doughy light biscuit and bready malts, lemon zest and Belgian phenolic spice-- light clove and lemongrass, with white wine and salty hints. Flavor is toast, earth, leather turns to wet dog dander-like- wirey and ropey, with some light tartness in the finish- starts good, ends not so good.

Draft at Maxs. Pours a golden body with white head. Metallic notes, keg infection? Fruity yeast, apple cider vinegar, hints of honey combs and a weird cider finish. Odd, i love the honey esk tones.

Tap at Max’s. Hazy golden color, thin white head. Aroma of white pepper and straw. Body is a bit thin. Slight bitter edge, otherwise dull and uninteresting.
