JK54B (385), Finland Oct 6, 2008 A 0.33L bottle tasted at Hilpeä Hauki. Pale head. Clear amber colour. Slightly sour mustardlike taste. No sweetness. Not very special. KimJohansen (4294), Copenhagen V, Denmark Sep 29, 2008 Cloudy amber with large off white head. Dry aroma with fruity and yeasty notes. Dry flavour with metallic and medicine notes. thenick (583), North Bellmore, New York, USA Sep 29, 2008 Sample @ BBF ’08, Boston. Pours a deep orange color with a small off-white head. Aroma is mustard seeds with earthy hops and clove detectable as well. Taste is a solid base of yeast and malt with a nice mustard seed finish. Quite a unique beer, and I enjoyed it. FatPhil (2362), Espoo, Finland Sep 22, 2008 330ml bottle (Punavuoren Ahven, Helsinki, Belgian Weeks)
Rich orange. Sweet planty, leafy, aroma, not particularly bold though. Spicy, some long term, but not too aggressive, burn, and tangy. Maybe a little vegetal. Drying palate. Some soap. Didn’t specifically identify mustard in the taste. badgerben (3160), Blaine, Minnesota, USA Sep 18, 2008 Belgian Beer Fest at the Muddy Pig. Copper color with no head. Really light aroma of malt. Simple flavors of sweet malt and caramel. Did not notice any usual Belgian yeast character, the mustard or candi sugar.
