Dark copper colored with light head. Grassy sour barnyard smell, a hoppy yeast-spice that sort of seemed like mustard, but not much. Syrupy malt crisp with decent hops and spice producing a sour twangy honeysweet effect. Not overly impressive.

Pours orange / amber with a fluffy off-white head. The aroma is sweet with spices and rich citrus along with spicy hops notes. Medium body with a whole lot of carbonation that is sharp, but not too forceful. The flavor starts with citrusy sweetness, an odd spiciness which is probably the mustard seed and funky yeast. The finish is tangy, spicy and clean. I’m not sure if there wasn’t mustard flavor in mine or if other tasted it from thinking there would be by reading the bottle. Either way, this beer came across as a nice interesting Belgium ale to me.

11.2 oz bottle - Pours murky light brown with a thin head. The aroma has yeast, malt, mustard, and a hint of citrus. The flavor is sweet and spicy with the mustard less than obvious. I just didn’t care for the combination of spices in this beer. It seemed like a fairly mediocre belgian ale with odd spices thrown in that don’t really work for me.

Bottle sampled. Pours amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of spices, fruit, and a sugary nose. The flavor is spices, mustard, fruit, with mild traces of hops in the finish. Just ok.

Bottled. Much preassure in bottle, but gives no head in beer glass, very active bubbles in the glass though. Colour of the beer is murku brownish orange. Aroma is mustard and some yeast. Flacour is sweet, acidic and a lots of spices, not so mastardy in my opinion. sweet and sour finish.

330 ml bottle. My first mustard beer! Very lively and noisy carbonation, like a spritzy cider. Tall head quickly fading into nada. Color is murky and greyish orange. Prominent smell of mustard seeds, added with a dark and sweet fruitiness. Taste is sweet and acidic, and spicy (mustard comes to my mind) Rather unbalanced. Light to medium body. Spicy and light sour end.

Bottle at firewaters...rich cloudy golden color, fluffy head that shrinks to about a centimeter...actually smells like mustard!! (faint but present) -balanced well- zingy body, refreshing..its a standard Belgian ale with a slight essence of mustard...interesting but not impressive

On-tap at The Belgian room, NYC. Light body, sourish, three weeks old, yellow body without head. Not too great a Belgian.
