Draught. Light amber coloured. Unclear. Dense beige head. Sweetness, fruits, spice and light yeast. Flavour is a bit bland. Fruits, spice and yeast notable. Is medium bodied. Has a somewhat watery and fruity end.

Tap at ZBF: An mustard yellow coloured ale with practically no head, some hints of mustard. Strange brew not my favorite.

(Rating #883)

On tap at Mahars. Poured ugly as hell, no head, opaque brown and yellow. Aroma was tangy and tart. Flavor was apple skin, and a bit of sweet mustard, and a good balance of the two. Surprisingly refreshing.

33 cL bottle via Lubiere. Served at cellar temperature in a tulip glass.

App.: Very cloudy orange-brown with a frothy, light tan-yellowish head. Aroma: Spicey honey, coriander, sweet, maybe mustard flour (or just the power of suggestion…), some dried fruits (figs, prunes). Palate: Med. body, a little syrupy, soft yet effervescent carbonation. Flav.: green, bizarre spiciness, some malt, definite mustard here, but not pleasant. A bit sweet and tangy with a fairly intense bitter finish.

Not for me. Maybe it would be better with a sausage??.

Bottle: Poured an hazy dark golden color ale with a huge foamy head with good retention. Aroma of spices and dry Belgian yeast is intriguing. Taste is quite spicy with some nice malt and dry yeasty finish which is a bit too strong for my liking. After having tried a few different beers from this brewery, I feel like they should IMHO rethink their use of their yeast strain which provide strong dry aftertaste and result in similar taste to all their beers.

Pours dark orangish amber color, with a short lived head. The aroma is candy and spicy fruit. The flavor comes off as sugar and spice, plum, a hint of dark mustard and a sweet and sour candy finish. An interesting take on Belgian ale.

11oz Bottle: Pours a cloudy honeyish orange with a vanishing fizzy tan head. Sweet Belgian malt aroma, banana like yeastyness, clove and a hint of candi sugar. The flavor is slightly tart and acidic with a sour/spicy hint reminiscent of mustard (duh). It remind me of sweet and sour sauce with the spicy flavors clashing with the sweet maltyness. Slightly fruity with some sour apple notes, spicy apricots and a malt driven finish. An interesting and unique brew, not bad.
