Sweet aroma of spices and almost like fermented sour fruit. Lots of gueuzey fruit in the upfront flavor. The finish is quick and dry. Interesting if not memorable beer. rudolf (1758), Buffalo, New York, USA

According to Richard from Utobeer, they sell tons of the stuff. Spicey aroma. Very good malt and then mustard hop finish. Unbelievably drinkable. So I will be having another. puzzl (2619), New York, New York, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 3, 2006 On Tap, Belgian Room. This was one wacky beer! The mustard was anything but soft-spoken, imparting a pure mustard seed flavor and intruiging complexity of flavors/aromas not normally found in beer. The pour was a very "mustardy" dark yellow with small white cap hhead. Aroma contained beets, mustard, cabbage, tomato, slight flowers. In the mouth I got a strong mustard presence up front, that faded into onions, ethanol, turpentine (hehe), and a strong candi sugar finish. Palate is wet and thinnish though still full-bodied. I don’t know if I would drink it again, but this was certainly worth a try! DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 29, 2006 Wow, mustard seed in a beer! What a novel concept. Bottle from Supar Saver. The pour is hazy, young pumpkin orange with 1-finger off-white head. Aroma of tart fruit, lime, orange, and hopcitrus. The flavor is citrusy, with notes of lime, orange, tangerine, and lemon, plus finishing hops and some funky malt. This one is very unique, and I think very good. mkobes (2104), paramus, New Jersey, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 25, 2006 On tap in the Belgian Room. Deep dark golden in color with a little off white head. Malty sweet and spicey aroma. Candi sugar notes. Malty and fruity spicey flavor. Orange and clove. Yeasty. Citrusy hoppy. Mild mustard taste. Tart. Finish is bitter. Nicely balanced. Enjoyable. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 17, 2006 Bottle. Dark golden colour with a nice off white mostly lasting head. Aroma and taste of malt, fruits and spices. The Torhouts mustard must be very mild, because it doesnt show up in the beer in anyway, but still the beer is good. | 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 5/20 | Jul 1, 2006 A mustard beer, what an interesting thought, I haven’t heard of such a great idea since the fire alarm with a snooze button. Very cloudy orange-brown. Dry mustard aroma. Fortunately the mustard didn’t show-up in the taste. To be honest, not much showed-up in the taste. Rather bland and that’s fortunate sine the little it tasted wasn’t good at all. A-bit-too-ripe fruity notes in a watery body. That’s it and that was enough.
