Pernille (518), Copenhagen, Denmark Jul 30, 2005 Aroma is not bad. A bit herbal, but malty. Flavor is waaay better than I expected. (Am generally not that hooked on mustard). The mustard -although present- is discreet and adds a nice edge to the beer. Cheers for new experiences! Dixen (1465), Flagstaff, Arizona, USA Jul 29, 2005 Acidic and spicy nose. Dark golden colored body, small white head. Sourish flavor along with some fruityness. TBone (6675), Pori, Finland Jul 27, 2005 Bottled (BBE 2007)
Hazy nut brown, small creamy off-white head. Fruity, lightly hoppy. Starts a bit spicey, some leafy hoppy notes in the middile. Hints of sugar, but this is not a sweet beer. Slightly grassy aftertaste. joergen (8430), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jul 27, 2005 Bottled.
Orange coloured with a white head.
Acidic aroma with notes of spices and some sweetness.
Spicy and acidic flavour with notes of mustard. 5000 (2409), Hardened Liver, Washington, USA Jul 15, 2005 Bottle: Dull golden, speckles of bits floating about, large sudsy white head that quickly dies down, lively carbonation, lacks any real lacing. Sweet fruity nose, didn’t whiff any mustad seed tho. Spicy citrusy start, sweet, but where is the mustard?!?! Slightly sour, but the sweetness dominates. Comes across as a pale witbier thats overly sweet. Average body and mouthfeel. Lackluster finish, basically an oversweet pale witbier me thinks. Not bad, but certainly not all that interesting. Not what I was expecting at all.
GirlyBeer (183), Biddeford, Maine, USA Jul 4, 2005 I wasn’t very impressed with this beer. There was no real mustard flavor to it. A little sweet, fairly dark. omhper (12155), Stockholm, Sweden Jun 27, 2005 Bottled. Cloudy amber. Spices (mustard seeds I assume) are obvious in the nose. Fruity, soft and medium bodied with notes of lemon and pineapple. Somewhat vinous. Restrained sweetness, low bitterness. Papsoe (14642), Frederiksberg, Denmark May 14, 2005 Updated: Jun 10, 2005(Bottle 33 cl) I’ve had mustard-beer before. I think, this might be my 3rd. Well; Orange coluor with an attractive, tall head. Has this typical, but hard to define, character of being handbrewed. Do I taste the mustard? Hmm, I taste some spice, but can’t really tell which. Soft, sweet and only vaguely bitter. A quite peculiar beer. 291103
