08.03.04 330ml bottle. Orange amber color; small head. Pungent aromas of something fruity, ripe grains, maybe a hint of dry mustard seed. Flavors have the sourness of whole grain dijon but without the spice or dryness. Apple and grape. Taste is appealing, but I’m not sure what I like about it...then it gets tedious by the end of the glass. Decent stuff, but not as exciting as I’d hoped.

Flowery citrus aroma, great! Nice dark orange color. Sweet and sour tasting. Mustard only hardly noticeable. Hops on the finish. Surprisingly nice drink.

i was trying to find something to order at blind tiger and knew i´d heard something about this but couldn´t remember what. a bit of a sniff and i remembered it was the mustard beer. surprisngly sweet, no real sign of hops but it was an old bottle, could be boiled down to make a nice accompaniment to weisswurstchen

Cloudy orange body with a creamy white head. Sufficient lacing. Malty, watermelon aroma. The flavor has sweet lemon candy, yogurt and brown sugar.

Creamy orange color with hints of red w/ minimal head. Peach, lime nose with creaminess...Very Floral. Creamy lime, peach with light roasted flavors. Lingering bite in the mid palate. Some sparkle, lots of flesh fruit, acidity, some spice, slight herbal quality. Nice malt, wheat, orange with a long light hop like finish.

Bottle. Pours a dark golden orange haze, minimal head. Has a fruity, sour, yeast aroma. Flavor has an intial sourness, plus salt, hints of mustard, with a bit of a sweet cake-like finish. Unusual. Oh, and the tiny bubbles in the carbonation stab the tongue like so many needles. And I forgot to mention the strong mineral water-like base.

In the bottle. Pours a deep gold, almost color. I carefully decanted the supernatant so all the yeast remained in the bottle, so this was pretty clear looking. Small beige head that hangs on like a Jack Russell terrier. Marvelous lacing with champagne bubbles. Pronounced aroma of mustard, but this ain’t no hot dog. Tart and tangy and crisp with the dominant flavor being mustard. Burning sensation strong down the gullet. Is that alcohol or mustard or both? A little light on the body. Not a powerhouse like other Belgians of its ilk. The sweetness is lost on me. Pass the relish...

Pours a clouded yellowish brown. Small tanned head. Aroma seems spiced and a bit floral but I’m not really picking up a whole lot of mustard. Maybe when this warms it will reveal more of itself. Taste is a bit thin as is the body. There’s some sweetness and spice but it’s kind of watery. Mouthfeel is watery as previously stated and the finish is a lighter sweet and spicy taste. Not a bad beer, just not too much going on here.
