Very dirty orange/tan with a bit of lacing. Quite spicy, more than a hint of mustard, pepper, maltiness. This beer begs to be paired with a hotdog or hamburger. Which is not a bad thing. damn you belgians, where does it end?

Sampled 9/15/08. This spiced ale pours a medium orange color from a 33cl bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head with nice retention and good lacing. The aroma is malt, yeast and a hint of mustard. A medium bodied ale. The malts are caramel and dark fruits. The hops are floral and spicy. Kind of yeasty and bready tasting, with a candi sugar finish. The mustard seed adds an interesting flavor, kind of spicy but more seed/husk tasting. An interesting beer. Lively carbonation. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet with some mustard flavors.

(Bottle at Hilpeä Hauki on 2008-09-15) Amber. Hazy. Medium sized white head that disappeared quickly. Hops, mustard, malts and yeast in nose. Medium to full bodied dry palate with quite a lot of carbonation. Yeast, salty liquorice, bitterness, sweetness and fruitiness in taste. Fruity and bitter aftertaste. Hints of mustard in aftertaste.

From tap at YNWA. Pours murky brown with a lacing white head. Mustard and caramel to yeasty aroma with a light acidic/citric touch. Flavour is sweet caramelish with a light yeasty note and a mild mustard note. Mild acidic and estery with a distinct fruity note. Sweet caramel-ish finish.

Bottle. High fluffy and quickly disappearing off-white head. Hazy thick looking milky orange body. Bitter sweet slightly acidic mustard aroma. Flavor though pretty sweet mustard without much acicity or hops bitterness. Low carbonation, short aftertaste.

Bottle poured a clear amber with a small lasting amber head. Aromas of carmel, candy sugar, mustard seed and fruittiness. Palate was medium bodied smooth and slick. Flavors of carmel, fruittiness, candy sugar and light mustard with a smooth lightly tart fruity finish.

On tap at the White Horse, 25th August 2008. Cloudy amber, but not as rich in particulates as the Fiori thankfully. Full bodied with a robust flavour of apples, berries, a light spiciness (cinnamon?) and a wonderful peppery sharpness from the mustard seeds. Very enjoyable.

Definitely weird. Not horrible but not enjoyable. I won’t be buying this again.
