Jerre (1333), Waregem, Belgium Sep 3, 2006 golden amber coloured, big lasting head, lots of carbonation. Hoppy aroma. Sweet and fruity flavour, more bitter in finish. Not very special, but still i must say i liked it. Original name and label. JorisPPattyn (4262), Antwerpen, Belgium Jul 24, 2003 Updated: Feb 8, 2004Light yellow-amber. Very little head. Very aromatic nose: ginger, vanilla, orange, marzipan. Very malty at first but with upcoming bitterness, und(r)efined. Very full-bodied, gives an impression of much higher density, even alcohol apparent. Deceiving - seems to be more and not delivering. I like the nose, though.
Rerated : Very hoppy taste, surprisingly American in character - possibly hopoil, also more velvety mouthfeel. DuffMan (1915), Calgary, Alberta, Canada Jul 25, 2005 Updated: Nov 18, 2005Obviously a new import to Perth, as I’m the second Perth Ratebeerian to rate it in two days! Bright orange, hazy, no head at all. Very interesting aromas of sweet lychee and ginger. Flat palate (ie. not a lot of carbonation), with fruit salad, honey, and a cardboard dryness to the finish. Not cloyingly sweet, so it actually was quite refreshing. Very different, but in an enjoyable way. lachesis (759), St Idesbald, Belgium Nov 23, 2004 Light hazy yellow-amber colored beer with small head. Refreshing nose with nice touches of soft spices. Nice hints in the nose of Almonds, Pimm’s 21= ginger based drink, perfect whin mixed with canada dry. milkbread and crumble cake. The taste is very lively and refreshing, it has this light fruity side that is well in balance with a medium dry maltyness and a fine bitterness of hops.
A nice beer that is very drinkable and that ends with an outstanding elegant afthertaste. Augustijn55 (82), Izegem, Belgium Oct 3, 2006 Bottle, 25 cl. Amber color, white head. Hoppy aroma. Sweet and fruity flavour, and a little bitter end. A simply beer, but not bad at all.
