3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
on tap at klub malych pivovaru, where these days they’re more likely than not to serve something from trebonice. anyways, this is more weirdness from a brewery which never makes anything that fits the commerical description. amber with some haze and a thin but steady head; aroma of pine-o-cleen, swimming pool in late summer, pond scum, anthill; soft-bodied; some belgian yeast character gets swamped by honeydew melon sweetness, menthol, pine and tinny bitterness. at first they troubled me, but i’m somehow developing a bit of soft spot for trebonice. after all, not every beer should be clean or true to style
