Almost no aroma at all but very good looking in the glass. First taste is a heavy but pleasant hit of malty sweetness. I actually said "ooh" out loud. A very good Irish Red.

Tap at brewpub August 2012-pours just copper hue with a small fluffy eggshell head. nose of piney hops medicnal and lite carmel notes. flavors are very hop forward in nature but had a very good malt base here (carmel and toasted) long piney finish with undertones of carmel malt. a very solid beer here even though its not really an irish ale.

Tasted on tap at the brewpub 10/25/2008. This red pours a copper red color from the tap. Small sized white foamy head. The aroma is herbal and floral hops, fruity and sweet. A medium bodied ale. The malts are caramel and sweet. The hops are herbal and floral. Nice balance. Good carbonation. Perhaps a little on the sweet side. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

I didn’t ake a lot of notes on this one, and made my rating from memory, but have one large complaint about Tablerock: you sit there for 15 minutes talking to the bartender, trying to figure out what is the terrible phenolic, plastic, over-roasted black patent note is you keep trying to get by to get some real aroma, and then finally figure out that you can’t smell your beer because there’s too much burnt popcorn behind you! Seriously, clean that thing...
