COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Run for cover. Monstrous quantities of Amarillo (Editor’s Note: previously Kent Goldings) hops transform this traditional India Pale into a beast of a beer. Drier than a lizard on a hot rock, it’s a earth shattering, thirst stomping colossus of flavor. This monster IPA is not for the timid.

sampled at RBSG 04 clear golden color, I found this to be *sour* rather than *bitter*.

Bizarre copper color, kind of cool actually. This was a truly hoppy beer. The hops tended to stray towards absurd IBUs and away from flavor a bit. Despite the slight prune sensation my face experienced, the beer is actually quite smooth and tasty, not a bad IPA.

Soft orange with a tan head. Orange sugar aroma, way too sweet, but still nice. Very sticky and sweet finish. Some light hay in the aroma along with the hops.

Dark golden, hazy with a ring of white bubbbles. Sweet floral aroma wit hints of orange blossom and grapefruit. Sweet with a vinous taste and a srong biter finish. Some grass on the finish. Nice brew!

Lot's of hops in the. Golden pour with no head or lace. Heaps and heaps of hops, sweet, then more hops. Very nice palate, not a bad aftertaste for as much hops there is. Name says it all. Very nice IPA

Definitely a lot more bite and bitterness than their other IPA offering. It has a haziness to it and a dry finish more than a bitter one. Very good.

I enjoyed this, but I thought it was slightly overdone. A little too much hopping in ths one, so much that there is so much hops that it just destorys your palette after one drink. Extremely tasty, and very hoppy, but just a little too much.

Bottled by Buck_Dich. Excellent IPA. When I read that it was hopped with Kent Golding, I was expecting an English IPA. This is as bitter as most West Coast IPA, with out much(there is some) bitterness on the finish. Some sweetness. Citrus flavor bitterness. I liked this one.

UPDATED: MAY 17, 2006 ReRate: Had this first about 3½ years ago, haven’t rerated it since then. It pours a cloudy orange/brown color with a large white sticky retentive head and plenty of lacing. The nose is hoppy, naturally, not as strong as I once believed with a piney, citrusy character, not too much grapefruit though. The flavor has a strong bitterness accompanied by a robust malty body and moderate sweetness. Before it was the flavor I really looked for and now I more prefer an upfront nose. Still an excellent IPA, especially for Boise. The finish is balanced, moderate length and a spicy peppery mouthfeel.
