Starts out with great coffee and chocolate aromas and continues the same in the flavors with some added nuttiness. Just a great all around beer and a wonderful example of a Stout. I had this served once with CO2 and once with Nitrogen. Both beers looked about the same but the nitrogen pushed version was better in all other categories. Scores for the CO2 version: 8, 4, 7, 3, 14.

Had this beer at alefort in Boise Idaho this past weekend. Aroma- Caramel with light coffee but the nut comes in. Apperance- Ok on the head. Black as can be. cloudy. taste- medium in sweetness for a stout. light in bitterness. I can taste the roasted malt in there. Palate- Ok on the co2. thick in the mouth. Finish is long. I like that part alot. Overall- Tim and Bob did a nice job on this. Keep it up.

Tap at brewpub: Dark brown with a mahogany tint when held up to the light. It has a pretty little brown head as well. This stout has a rich malt structure with lots of roasted flavors and coffee. It leaves a great taste in your mouth. As a dry stout, this does well.

Black with a creamy tan head and nice lacing. Aromas of roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, raisins, bitter hops and mocha. Flavors are very roasty. Small chocolate with bitter coffee and hops. There’s some hints of fruit lingering. Sticky palate with a thick body and a big bitter coffee and roast finish that lingers on and on.

Black opaque color with dark tan head & smooth lacing. The aroma is very roasty with some bright hops & chocolatey cream. The flavor is fairly astringent with lots of roastiness & dry bitter hops. The finish is creamy, very roasted too. Not too bad. Creamy, very full body. Mocha espresso like aspect.
