Very little aroma and quite cloudy, this "nut brown" has a good flavor, but not one that says nut brown to me. Good mouthfeel though but not enough for much of an overall score boost.

Tasted on tap at the brewpub 10/25/2008. The brown ale pours a medium dark brown color. Small to medium sized tan foamy head. The aroma is nutty, sweet, caramel and brown sugar. A medium to full bodied brown ale. The malts are caramel, nutty and sweet. The hops are floral and earthy. Nice sweet nutty malt flavors. Very smooth taste. Mouthfeel is full and round. 3/7/08 on draught at the brewpub. Aroma is malty and bready, with light fruit malt/hop flora to round it out. Appearance is clear amber with a medium retained off white head. Flavor is more like the aroma with malt dominating, sweet, low bittering and english in strength. Mouthfeel is medium body with a a very low carb texture. Overall, good and very easy drinking.

Draft: Pours a dark brown with reddish tones, nearly as dark as thier porter! Nose is roasted malt and toffee, taste is more oriented in the roasted malt dept. Some earth and nutty flavor also. Nice roasty and woody character.
