Ingredients: Malted barley; Hops.

Editor’s Note: As of December 2006, it has been confirmed with both Grolsch and Cereuro that Tagus is brewed in the Netherlands (it is only bottled in Portugal).

Tagus brand was sold to Damm (http://www.ratebeer.com/brewers/damm/1378/) and it is now produced in the Damm factory in Santarém, Portugal (and bottled in Pombal, Portugal). Bottle. Golden beer with a strongish white head. The aroma is yeasty, malty and dry and the flavour is dryly yeasty and chemical. Overall a poorish beer.

rauchbier (3394) - Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - JUN 3, 2006
Bottle, from Rhythm & Booze in Brigg. Gold, moderate shortlived white head and moderate condition. Distant low graininess in the nose, quite full and malty in the mouth with a slight toffee note and some gentle grassy hoppiness that turns bitter in the finish.

Bottle. Pale gold with a small head. Aromas are sweet grain and lemon with metal. Flavours are bitter grain with thin caramel malts and metal. Has some lemon zest sourness. Far too much carbonation. Still, its drinkable.

Bottle. A golden coloured beer, nose a little week but a tad sweet, taste also sided towards the sweet, tasted thinner and weaker than the actual strength. A very clean tasting beer but nothing exciting.

Bottle, 33cl. What a surprise! Not the beer but the fact that it’s brewed by Grolsch. It’s not mentioned anywhere in the bottle. It’s a very recent beer in Portugal and it’s having a hard time trying to conquer a little % of the market. Unfortunatelly, Sagres and Super Bock control 95% of beer sales in Portugal. And Tagus isn’t worse than these two. Ok, to be honest it isn’t also better. What can i say.... Yellow colour, nice white head. Slightly sweet although very refreshing.

Bottled. Yellow colour, mediumsized foamy head. Sweet malty aroma. Caramellish malty flavour with a bit hoppy finish. Boring.

UPDATED: JUN 23, 2005 (Bottle 25 cl) Beautiful, fully golden with a nice, dense head. Presumably an all-malt beer. Contains quite some malty sweetness. Not much bitterness though. Actually a neat little beer that comes in a cute little bottle. 300603

A light yellow beer with a huge white head. The aroma is sweet malty with light notes of hops. The flavor is sweet malty with a thin body and a lightly bitter end.
