Bottle. Seems like this is an attempt by a micro brewer to make a real Japanese-style happoshu! It has less than 25% malt, plus unmalted barley, rice, sugar, and starch! Clear, deep golden color with a small head. Faint aroma of malt and maybe rice. Slightly fruity; barely hoppy. Thin, watery malt flavor, a bit of fruit, quite sweet and slightly creamy. A touch of hops. OK. If this was ¥160, I would surely buy it in a pinch, as it does have a much better flavor and balance than regular happoshu—at least there are no really nasty flavors going on, and you can taste the malt. But, it cost like ¥500!!! Are they nuts? Why bother?
