Jaune pâle avec l’arôme d’une lager dégluasse avec du mangue artificielle! Le goût est pareil. Tant pis...

330ml can from citysuper, HK. this was far worse than the grape one (which wasn’t bad at all). aroma and taste are a mixture of wet cardboard and suspect fruit. carbonated, sort of oily texture.

1.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20
Clear, very pale yellow pour. Aroma is mango and sweetener. Flavour is the same - overly sweet, some weird vegetal flavours, and an artificially sweet finish. Gross.

2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottle shared at Leighton’s place. Many thanks to Daniel for this rare country tick. Very pale yellow, gasoline coloured pour with a halo of white head. Aroma is artifical fruit, apricot, flavouring, peach. Sweet on the nose. Flavour is composed of sweet fruit flavourings, no beer, fruit juice. Palate is sweet, thin. Not a beer.

Bottleshare at Leighton’s Stratoflat. A can from Dan the man. Bright clear pale gold beer, small white head. Very light palate. Supersweet sugary mango, actually so sweet that the mango disolves in to generic fruits. A bit of an artificial taste going on here as well, maybe they couldn’t cram any more sugar in here and decided to use artificial sweetners as well. Light finish. Grim.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Can shared at Leighton’s. 2.8%. Pale yellow, green hue, sparkling, clear, foamy white head. Aroma is strong mango puree with some light lemon. Body is light, foamy, low carbonation. Taste is a little syrupy, some metallics, tonic, a little mango. Not great really. The flavour is pretty much just sweetened tonic water.

1.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Can big thanks to Dan. It pours clear very pale yellow with a small white head. The nose is sweet, sugary, gummy candy, dried mango and artificial flavourings. The taste is sweet, sugary, soda, mango flavouring, nectarine, gummy candy with a dry, sweet finish. Light body and average carbonation. Sweet, sugary and filthy. Not a fan. My teeth hurt.

Can shared in London. Big thanks to Daniel. Pours clear, very pale yellow with a white cream head. A little fatty on the nose, some dough, mango. Sugary, a little pukey, with fleshy mango, white bread. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sugary finish, some bile, overripe mango, white sugar, corn syrup. Poor.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Finally found a can of this on our last night in Taiwan. Found it at the Family Mart next to our hotel. Drank with Eva in the hotel. Pours a clear pale yellow color with a slight white head. Aroma is big juicy mango and that’s about it. Taste is sweet sweet mango juice. Maybe a bit too sweet but this beer is awesome for the 97 degree 90 percent humidity here. So refreshing. This may be a bad beer but I think any beer can be good given the proper context.
