Taiwan Beer

Can, thanks to FatPhil! Pale, big white head. Smells grass. Quite a comfortable and soft taste, with a bit of grass as well. The finish isn’t equally pleasant.

330ml Can (Thanks FatPhil) - Pale golden with a white head. Grassy aroma with straw and hints of corn and lemon. Buttery and malty taste with corn, malt and some buttery sweetness. Rather odd, but drinkable.

Clear golden colour with small white head. Earthy malty aroma with corn and rice. Wet cardboard, malts and some crisp hoppiness in flavour.

12 oz bottle Market of Choice. Pours out saffron yellow with a thin and bubbly white head. Aroma was sweet and light, malty and with a hint of rice. Flavor much the same, very thin mouth though what else would you expect from a pale lager I suppose. Not bad for what it is.

Brewed by a state-owned manufacturer and distributor, enjoyed during my travels in Taiwan. I was very impressed with the consumer loyalty this brew had. Fairly cheap, about 33 US cents a can at the grocery store. Nothing offensive. Definitely one of the better Far East lagers. Sweet and perhaps a bit floral. This is better than the premium.

Weak gold witha large white head. Grassy aroma with sweet malts. Flavor is sweet malts, light herbs, some floral notes, as well. Very thin mouth. Rather sweet and tasteless overall. I have no idea why I expected this to be better than it ended up being.
