A type of lager beer made from barley malt, hops and ponlai rice, with a golden hue and unique taste, it is honored world-wide.

Not that good. Only ever drink it if the 7-11 or family mart is out of the gold medal brew. The aftertaste verges on foul without completely ever crossing the line.

Can. Clear yellow with a big white head. Malty aroma, hints of citrus. Bready flavours, some citrus. Not bad for an industrial lager.

Bottle served in a lager glass. Pours slightly hazy pale orange, short with head of minimal retention and lace. Aroma is sweet wheat and orange citrus. Sweet flavor, creamy palate, grapefruity finish. More interesting than Mexican lagers I’ve tasted recently, but not great.

On-Tap at my hotel in Taipei, Taiwan. Served a pale yellow color with a fluffy head that fades. Has a light grain aroma with a trace of fruit mixed in. Sort of bland. Has a light grain flavor Light body, crisp Good for a couple. Goes best with food.

12 oz. can that I purchased someplace in Flushing. Pours gold with a fizzy white head that settles into an uneven scum and leaves a few trailing lines for lace. The aroma is sweet, a bit like honeysuckle actually, with a bit of white sugar. The flavor is weak malt with a bit of stale rice and Elmers glue. Very mild bitterness at the finish. Thin, watery body. Not something I would look to try again.

Interesting extra from Douglas, a good country rate! Its a very generic but slightly above average pale lager. Mostly benefits from a lack of off tastes. Won’t drink again, but not the worst pale lager.

330ml can in hotel room. Can’t drink this. Really tastes quite bad, avoid if possible.

One look at the can and I was in love. The can design gives this beer its character, nothing comes from the taste. Taste is your usual cheap, thin beer. I’d like to decorate my apartment in the same style as the can though...

Nutty. A distinct pale lager, but still not good at all. Very, very nutty. Maybe it comes from the rice, but it is a peanut butter aftertaste, but not in a good way and that is mixed with metallic flavors.

Had this is Taiwan airport. With a can like that, how could you not. Actually, not too bad for a LA pale lager. Pretty clean and full malt flavor with a lightly floral hop note and a crisp finish. Fairly full malt flavor compared to other swill. Not too shabby.
