Crisp and refreshing. Nothing to write home about but tasty on a hot day. Good carbonation, attractive golden hue, and just a bit of hop bite.

This has got to be the cleanest american standard on the market. Although it says its made with rice, there is not much adjuncty nonsense going on in the flavor...there is no alcohol bite that you get from some cheap lagers..in fact, it tastes really really light...a beer for people that don't like beer, i suppose..4.5% is a little low, but what the hell are you going to do. This is definitely a beer that i will come back to.

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Pours a clear light gold with a small white head that fades. Sweet aroma, of yeast, sugar, malt. Taste also has a rather nice sweetness, with a hint of hops, and a lot of sugar, grass, yeast. Lingering crisp sweetness. Better than I thought it would be.

Had this is Taiwan airport. With a can like that, how could you not. Actually, not too bad for a LA pale lager. Pretty clean and full malt flavor with a lightly floral hop note and a crisp finish. Fairly full malt flavor compared to other swill. Not too shabby.

One look at the can and I was in love. The can design gives this beer its character, nothing comes from the taste. Taste is your usual cheap, thin beer. Iíd like to decorate my apartment in the same style as the can though...

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
UPDATED: AUG 10, 2007 Can. Pours pale-lager yellow with a fizzy white head. Aroma is actually somewhat interesting, with a lot of unusual graininess that I assume is from the rice, some fruity apple notes, and a bit of hops. Flavor isnít quite as interesting, and somewhat marred by an off taste, but this is still interesting for a pale lager, with more of a rice-grain character than most Asian rice lagers. Mind you this isnít a great beer by normal standards, but itís good for the style and region---at least it tastes like *something*, even if that something is more cider than beer. Much better than expected, anyway.
