1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottle. Light gold with a white head. Grainy, slightly corny, with a little bit of a dirty grainy finish. Not awful.

This flavour of Taiwan beer suits me better, it's more bitter then the gold medal kind which most bars serve in Taiwan

1.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Clear medium amber with poured head that quickly drops to no head, no lace. No life in appearance or aroma. Taste is bigger than expected, but the rice is noticeable. Nothying changes until a slight bittering shows in the finish. Nice to "capture" Taiwan, but the brew doesnít measure up.

330 ml bottle at Din Tai Fung. Standard easy to drink light beer that is awesome in the heat. Not much aroma, light taste and aftertaste. Well balanced though

2.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
Bottle courtesy of Drake, thank you sir! clear golden color, small white head. Aroma of straw, corn, lager. Taste typical of most international lagers from non beer countries. Not quite tasty enough for me to want to seek out the Taiwan Tobacco and Liquor Corp brewpub.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
As a Taiwanese, I have to say itís classic, though not the best one. All in all, itís an ordinary lager, but more bitter than usual stuff.

1.6 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
UPDATED: JUL 12, 2013 The aroma is skunky and has a hint of bread malts, and the appearance is a straw golden color with a small white head that is fleeting. The taste quite sour and mildly sweet, and the palate combines a medium body, slick and thin texture, average carbonation, and a slightly sour finish.

2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
cold wet fizzy lager beer. This is typical asian lager. On a warm day this could be quite refreshing though you wouldnít go out of your way to buy this. When in Taipei do as the Taipeans do.

1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle from 99 Ranch Market (Kearny Mesa): Liquid appeared as a straw blonde and a violent formation of fizzy foam which left as quick as it built up. Nose is grassy hay and other such adjuncts that does bring better aroma than most Mexican and American pale lagers. The drink is sweet with malts and reminds me of a light diet version of Malta Goya. Also has a faint trace of skunk but the odd thing about this is that itís from a brown bottle and not a green bottle like a couple of Chinese bottled beers I have tasted. Happy with $5.99 for a six-pack since anything else from the Macros or Micros is almost $10 for a sixer. I just needed a few cold ones while watching the Lakers final game of the season on a warm southern Cali evening. Easy on the palate and highly quaff-able
