Better than the standard fair and just edges out the gold. I find this stuff is more gassy than it’s brothers hence maybe is more for general drinking than for eating ( although again like all TW beer it goes with food) . It’s hoppy and crisp with a ricey edge to it, the finish is mildly bitter. Like another guy mentioned it’s rare in Taiwan comparatively but is sold in Wellcome outlets. I can’t help thinking TW beer copied Heineken on most counts which is sad as this beer is probably better.

Draft @ Taoyuan airport food court. Greenish-straw colour. Thick artificial foam that falls. Slow-moving bubbles. The aroma is strawlike, with light green apple notes and maybe some vague higher alcohols. Thin. Greenish notes, with hints of straw and not much else. Ah, random Asian swill, how I’ve missed thee.

Draft @ Taipei airport. Clear greenish-yellow but decent head stability. Aroma is decent with fresh grain and floral hop accents. Thin palate. Sweet with green apple tartness. Not the worst beer, has a good floral hop dryness.

This is a damn good beer when fresh out of the Taiwan beer factory at their pub in Taipei . Great beer when eating , wich I have said before Taiwan beer is made to eat with . Whats this baloney about cloudy beer? I have lived in Taiwan for 10 years and not once have I gotten a cloudy beer, or flat for that matter.

Not very widely available in Taiwan, very sporadic appearance in stores and restaurants. Appearance is typical pale lager. Aroma is herbal and aromatic. But there is a very tiny hint of sulpher that put me off a bit. Thin, very carbonated. Flavor: Rice dominates. Very weak traces of malt. There is some hop bitterness. The hop flavor is oily and herbal. Apparently the "draft" indicates that this is a very fresh beer. The beer was brewed 8 days before I drank it and it expires in another 6 days, according to the dates on the cap.

yellow colour, few head, slightly cloudy, some herbs and few hops in the nose, medium-bodied, tart with a dry and slightly sour herbal finish - just acceptable

Bottled. Pale yellow with very little head. Adjunct aroma. Soft mouthfeel, obvious rice flavour, light bodied and sweet with just a trace of bitterness. Sadly the best Taiwanese beer available in stores...

Bottle. A smoother version of the regular Taiwan beer. A larger white head. I had this at a restaurant in Taipei.
