RunDWP (110), San Jose, California, USA May 9, 2008 22 oz bottle at Indian restaurant. Couldn’t detect much aroma, typical golden yellow color with fizzy white head. When cold, tasted a little crisp, with light hop flavor, but as it warmed slightly developed a bitter, slightly skunky aftertaste. High level of carbination and the bitter aftertaste means it didn’t go down smooth, which is a bad characteristic for a lager to have. Drink really cold, or go for a good pilsner or lager instead.
coldbrewky (458), Saugerties, New York, USA Jun 29, 2008 Oh why...oh why do I do this to myself? because it was on a 1.25 special at the rip and run....that’s why. Notes direct from scrawled brewing journal...." oh this is gonna be just terrible" Grassy straw nose and body. Bright white fluffy head. Dry light body with a long unpleasant aftertaste. UGH. A pale flat yellow in the glass. even looks unappealing. I paid too much. ansermadide (160), Kyle, Texas, USA Jun 7, 2008 Updated: Jun 12, 2008(Sample from June 6, 2008 Beer Club Meeting - Sacrifice; 22oz bottle at India Palace on June 10, 2008) Yellow/white color. Not much smell. Taste is pale, sweet, much like hay. Too light for my tongue. I’ve been spoiled. Eh... AdamGott (154), Idaho Falls, Idaho, USA May 27, 2008 fruity/malty aroma - straw yellow pour with very fine lacy head - high level of carbonation and a very slight skunk taste. not horrible but very reminiscent of most Asian lagers which really isn’t a far jump from Canadian or even American lagers av8rneil (2), killeen, Texas, USA does not count May 24, 2008 Despite what others may think. My wife and I enjoy this beer very much, whether at an Indian restaurant or at home. andrewboss (124), USA May 21, 2008 A nothing beer. Pure water. At least it gave some relief to spicy Indian food.
