Lilith (242), Santiago, Chile Oct 3, 2007 Orangish brown color. Medium off-white head. Aroma is very smooth, of fruits and herbs. Flavor is nothing special, watery and somewhat sweet. Panzerfaust (377), Santiago, Chile Oct 2, 2007 Pours a hazy dark amber/brown with a big beige head that presents medium retention and leaves a small lacing.
Aroma is fruity with dense herbal hops giving notes of grass and cedar. There is an omnipresent smell of sweet citrus (oranges, tangerines) and small hints of apricots and peaches with a slight touch of wood.
Flavor is a weak point. It is slightly sweet but overall watery with an obvious infection problem that gives a flat tartness in the end. Some apple flavors here and there are discernible accompanied with lemony traces.
Body is medium and carbonation is low. Finish is dull, boring and rather tart. Aftertaste is bearable. This beer needs some serious refinement to have some worth but maybe the previous reviewers have been a little too harsh.
Thanks to davidpl for handing over a bottle almosi (279), Viña del Mar, Chile Aug 1, 2007 Has a amber color, with sparkles orange. The head is of a turbid white, an Average and rapid. The aroma is to wet paper, (rotten paper), bad. In the palate there is malt, but there is too much caramel, very sweetly. The body is very slight and watery. I have a doubt, but I believe that it is a very bad beer. davidpl (403), Santiago, Chile Jul 11, 2007 Appearance: amber copper turbid. Medium head, ivory color and medium persistency.
Aroma: Excessive yeasty and rancid. Candy, bread and vanilla touches. Fruitiness of peaches and tangerines. Note of vintage wine (the rancid problem?).
Flavor: Maybe infection problems for the rancid taste. However, I recognized candy, toasty malts, raisins and ripe fruits notes. Too much sweet. Finish with medium hoppy.
Palate: Light body and watery texture. Low carbonation.
That’s such a disappointment!. I hope to obtain a new bottle without infection problems.
