Just like those classic video games we all grew up with, 8-Bit Pale Ale is spectacularly simple at first glance yet remarkably fun and complex when you get into it. Our Hop Rocket infuses the character of Australian grown Galaxy Hops into an American Pale Ale, giving a unique tropical, almost melon aroma in a classic American style.

16oz tall boy can thanks to Ed5388. Poured a slightly hazy tea orange brownish with a foamy mostly white head. Aroma is sweet, some, honey and vanilla, grassy, sweet bread. Body is fuller with stronger carbonation and an earthy finish. Flavor of grass, earth, tea leaves, citrus, lots of rinds, a touch of dry vanilla and wood. Decent but not in love at all.

16oz can thanks to RobertDale via local for local swap. Pours a hazy copper color with a thin foamy white head. Aroma of light citrus, vanilla, and bready malt. Taste of bitter grapefruit, citrus rind, vanilla, and bready malt. I might be drunk right now, but this is a very different pale ale.

Can. Clear light orange color with big lacing. Herbal grassy hop aromas. A little more hop profile and flavor than what I’m used to with a straight pale. Bordering on ipa with the hop profile. Finish is bitter and a nice burst of citrus flavor. Well done and cute packaging.

Can. Pours a copper gold semi clear color with a nice head. Nose is sweet with tropical citrus, with a bend toward fresh pineapple. Taste is citrus, and sweet and on the light side, yet very drinkable. Finish is sweet and mildly bitter with a nice finish. Quaff Score 7 / 10

Pours a copper golden with a beige head and aroma of hops and citrus. Taste is light sweet, with hops, citrus, and lighter tropical fruit notes with a slight bitter, crisp finish. Light, easy to drink pale ale.

Unclear orange amber body with large fluffy creamy white head mostly lasting. Aroma is lacking punch, very sweet, tropical, some caramel. Flavor is semi sweet, fair bitterness and very dry. Lots of grass. Big Medium body. Creamy and soft. Very tasty and fair drinkability. Long dry finish that is fairly bitter. A good tasty beer that I would have again. Better out of the can.

Can, as pictured. Smells a bit of pine, citrus hops. Man, this beer fades fast....I had one a week or two ago and it was drinking much better, to be honest. Good summer beer, great for a hot day.

I love the 8 bit as a clean staple. It can is a great introduction of a "real beer" for my less sophisticated friends and the fun name gets them interested. Not much aroma but it pours smooth and taste great with a decent compromise of bitter and fresh.
