Just like those classic video games we all grew up with, 8-Bit Pale Ale is spectacularly simple at first glance yet remarkably fun and complex when you get into it. Our Hop Rocket infuses the character of Australian grown Galaxy Hops into an American Pale Ale, giving a unique tropical, almost melon aroma in a classic American style.

Pours slightly hazy golden with a large just off white head. Aroma of citrus and grass. Taste is same with slight bitterness and lingering alchohol. Just missing something. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can, big thanks to Wigman DW, split on split on the 300kph tasting on Train 9116 to Brussels, 26/04/13. Hazed pale amber with a mahoosive off white head. Nose carries hop notes, grass, orange pith, citrus, light sugars. Taste comprises hops, orange pith, citrus zest, light soap, touch of sugars. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light hop bitterness in the finish. An OK APA.

Perfect pour out of 16 oz can - deep golden color with a thick, creamy head. Hops are at the forefront if the flavors, but aren't overpowering. There is a nice crispness the the mouth feel, which paired with the relatively low ABV makes this beer very drinkable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A-Bright Orange/Amber A-Big Citrus nose T-Malt is quickly subsided with citrus notes that move to bitterness. A nice snap at the end P-medium mouthfeel and carbonation that balances the hops O-Very drinkable Pale Ale with citrus and bitterness stealing the show at the end. I’ll try not to let the design of the can sway my judgement..very cool.

Aroma is a grapefruity citrus scent. Taste is a nice hoppy citrus, orange, grapefruit flavor. The malt is very prevalent also, nice caramel and grainy flavor. Overall a very balanced beer. One of my favorite pale ales.

Large head from the can, average bitterness with no distinct flavours, could not notice the "hop rocket" as the hops seemed to add bitterness but not aroma or flavour. Finishes clean with little aftertaste.

Nice session pale ale. Slight melon aroma. Good mouthfeel, with a unique combination in taste of hops and a wee bit of sweetness, the latter presumably from the galaxy hops. Even more wee bit of lingering bitterness. Would love to see an IPA version of this. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap, McNellie’s Tulsa. Dark gold/light copper with a thick white (?) head. Nothing remarkable here, but very drinkable with the usual Tallgrass quality. Bonus points for the art work on the can.
