Just like those classic video games we all grew up with, 8-Bit Pale Ale is spectacularly simple at first glance yet remarkably fun and complex when you get into it. Our Hop Rocket infuses the character of Australian grown Galaxy Hops into an American Pale Ale, giving a unique tropical, almost melon aroma in a classic American style.

Golden color out of the bottle with a foamy white head. Light orange pop nose. Flavors of sweet orange peel, lemons and Smarties candy. Long citrus finish. Flavorful Pale Ale but sort of one dimensional.

Tap - small foamy head, medium straw color, fair earthy hop aroma and flavor, not much malt balance - not bad but expected a little better from these guys

Can. Promising sweet, fruity aroma with a solid dose of hops. Some biscuit as well. Cloudy dark gold body with plentiful carbonation that is mostly masked by the particalia-ridden nectar. Lasting, but thin, frothy off white layer of head that leaves dense lace even before first sip. Initial flavored include a breadiness. Fairly dry but balanced with enough sweetness to make It work. Hops are pretty moderate but are in the solid range for an APA. I am really impressed with these guys. Not sure where I got my negative first impression but, either they stepped up their game or my opinion was not based on legitimate information.

Good clean beer with a floral taste and slightly dry finish. Brewed in Manhattan KS. My buddy might move there and run a Hy-Vee. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pint can via localswap4. Pours lighter golden with a marshmallow of a head. Wow this just looks inviting! Aromas of citrus rind, sweet caramel malts, pear, and a bit of pine. The flavor is much of the same but the body makes this beer. Just super drinkable and so much flavor are packed in here. Not to mention the can art work is gnarly as all hell. Another winner in my book from Tallgrass and I need more asap...iso!!

Pours hazy golden amber-orange color. Nice frothy white head. Aroma is grassy, faint citrus and floral. Taste immediately hits the back of the tongue with the bitter pine flavors, which give away quickly a lightly sweet malt backbone and finishes out in that sort of salty bitter quintessential pale ale way. Body is perfect with the right carbonation level. I like my pale ales to have a little more sweetness to the body and a cleaner less bitter ending (just my preference)...but this one is good and I’d certainly drink it again.

From the October 2012 3R6P tasting. +++ Sampled from a 16 oz can this beer poured a cloudy yellow-gold color with a medium sized foamy beige head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was soapy with vague fruits, cardboard and bubblegum. The flavor was dry and bitter with vague spicy and fruity hops that were a bit rough. There was an undercurrent of Pine-sol. Long dry, bitter and rough mixed hoppy finish with a hint of bubblegum. Moderately full bodied. Meh.

16 oz can. Pours yellow with a nice white head. Nose is caramel and tropical hops, albeit light. Taste is more tropical, fruitiness, minor pine notes, caramel. Highly drinkable and a nice seesion brew.

Poured from a tallboys can received from unclemike. Pours a lighter copper with a white troth of foam. The aroma is light and slightly fruity. Bitterness is buried behind a hefty sweetness. Its almost indicative of an English Pale Ale. Its an interesting beer.
