Can from Heritage. After so much talk about this, I am disappointed. Light gold color. Mild aroma of hops, but really not enough of it. Dry, bread flavor with very little hops at all, I would compare this beer to Summit EPA. For $3/can, I would stick to Furious. This beer is not bad, but it does not have a lot to offer.

Awesomely video-gamed can - My first foray into Tallgrass...excited! Pours wiht a massive foamy white head atop a lightly hazy light amber pour. Hints of onion and garlic on the nose, with overripe tropical fruit and a musty maltiness. Not hugely pungent like I expected, but mellow and subdued. Taste is a bit of a letdown. Malt is dominant throughout--mellow, doughy malt mingling with the same overripe tropical fruit, yeast, and a finish of onion/garlic and lightly pine hops. Big and slick, with smooth carbonation. Not bad, but I expect something with "Hop Rocket" printed on the can to be a, you know, hop rocket.

Tall boy thanks to swalden. Hazy yellow with a white head. Nose is malts, old hops, not that fresh. Smooth palate, flavor is lacking in hops (old can), not much going on here.

Color is a little light. Taste is very subtle and not very hop forward. It is refreshing though. Good bit of bitterness, somewhat floral. Typically not a fan of Tallgrass, in fact I havenít liked a beer yet by them until this. Overall pretty nice reminds me of a dumbed down Daisy Cutter.

16oz tallboy can from Downer Wine & Spirits. Pours a light amber color with a big white head and lots of lacing. Aroma is hoppy, grassy, and I do get some of the melon aroma. Medium on the palate with light carbonation. Flavor is lightly bitter, hoppy, grassy, with a nice bready, malt backbone, and a bitter hop finish. Interesting.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Can. The body is deep gold with a little haze. The large head is slightly off-white. A nose of grapefruit and bread crust. There is also some almond. The taste is a little sweet with the citrus of grapefruit. There is also some hay and a nutty almond finish. A little bit astringent in the aftertaste. This is ok, but boring.

UPDATED: JAN 26, 2013 Have had on tap and canned, I live a few states from KS so tap was considerably better. Really love the hop mixture in this beer, has a great floral and citrus aroma to it, pillowy white head with great lacing. Nice hop.taste, really wish I could have this on tap more often!
