3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Shared 16 oz. can poured to snifters with a hazed, orangy color, a modest, soft white layer of head foam, and spotty lacing. The nose was citrus, grapefuit, a bit of mango, some resin, and a little dank grain. Moderately bitter, with a fair amount of supportive malt, a medium body, and dry finish. An okay Pale.

16 ounce can. The vintage arcade design on the packaging is one of my favorites in recent memory. It gives it an upbeat character before you even take a taste. I always welcome positive first impressions like that when there’s some thought and creativity put in and you’re given some idea of the personality of the brewers and the personality they want to impart on the consumer.
The beer is a dark yellow gold with lots of white foam. It crackles with carbonation and has a light mouthfeel. The taste really hangs on in my mouth, very durable and satisfying. A bit piney and bitter in taste, tart even, which is surprising given the moderate ibu level. This may be a good one to focus in on the galaxy hop flavor package. Overall, it’s much more full flavored and fulfilling taste-wise than you’d expect with a 5.2% beer.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
A really refreshing pale ale from a Kansas brewery I’ve yet to have anything negative from. Very piney and with a refreshing amount of hops that doesn’t overpower. Nice floral aroma, just a touch of resin. Great style example!

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a slightly hazy amber with a foamy, long lasting white head. The aroma contains floral hops with a good amount of citrus, including orange, pineapple, and some light grapefruit. This is balanced well with caramel notes as well. The taste is a mixture of pine and caramel. Underneath are citrus impressions of grapefruit and pineapple. This one is quite dry and slightly bitter. Medium bodied, chewy in texture, with some sudsy carbonation. Aftertaste is citrus wrapped in caramel. I think this one is good. Its solid all around. Cool artwork on the can also.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
The appearance of this brew combines a hazy orangeish golden color with a large white head and a fine-grained sediment floating throughout. The aroma is hoppy with a predominance of floral and citrus ones, and the taste is quite bitter, slightly sour, and a touch sweet; furthermore, the palate combines a sticky texture, long bitter finish, medium body, and a soft carbonation.

1 pint tallboy served into a Dogfish shaped pint glass.
A - 3 billowy fingers of white foam ontop of a cloudy golden brown body. The head forms a solid cap
S - Galaxy all the way, dry floral, dried tropical fruit, pineapple, papaya, grapefruit and lemon, cracker pale malt, green grass.
T - Peppery bitterness, dried pineapple fruit, grapefruit, very floral, citrus pulp, green grass, slightly sweet cracker malt. Finishes fruity and bitter. Grapefruit carries long into the aftertaste.
M - Moderate carbonation, light side of full bodied, semi-smooth feel.
Nice APA in a cool looking can. Love the galaxy hops and they really let them shine. The yeast is recognizable from the rest of the line up. Very good overall. The citrus really comes out when warm.

Can - thanks RobertDale. Pours slightly hazy yellow gold with a large white creamy head and nice lacing. Aroma is citrus, pine and a touch of caramel. Flavor is the same with some zesty notes. Just a bit of sweetness and light bitterness. Medium body, bubbly

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
16 oz can at The Courtyard (Decorah, IA). Pours a rich deep amber darker pour, good haziness in the middle, frothy whitish head atop laces well as a thicker full film, laces ok. Aromas are mellow to decent bitter hops, lemons and some florals, grass and gentle earth. Touches of bready malts, mellow deadened sweetness. Ok. The hops start to jump a bit more as it warms. Initial is lighter end of the fold, some bready malts meet some florals, gentle grapefruit, faint tropical elements. Mellow on that end, decent to medium bitterness in this beer up front. A touch tropical, faint grapefruit. Some dough, florals, and touches of melon in the middle. Backend is a touch bready, almost toasty. Firm dryness, bitter earthy hops. Touches of florals, mellow tropical fruit. A solid pale that gets a touch sweet at times. A-Ok.

Pours a pale orange with a bit of white lacing. Aromas of honey and sweet citrus. Tastes like Christmas oranges with a bitter pine finish. Nice full mouthfeel with some liveliness. Very good.
