COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
BUFFALO SWEAT
(ABV 5.0%, 20 IBU)

We love this beer here at the brewery, and think you will have one of those “I’ve never-tasted-a-beer-like-that” kind of moments when you try it!

What we really like about this beer is the smoothness that brewing with cream sugar brings to the palate. This smoothness balances out the copious quantities of roasted barley used in the brewing process to create a rich, complex, and delicious beer. If you have not been a stout drinker in the past, give this beer a try. It might just change your mind about how dark beers should taste. It tastes so rich, but is surprisingly easy to drink!

Can’t find the sweat? Don’t sweat it. Just ask for Buffalo Sweat at your local liquor store or your favorite tavern.

A bit more coffee in the nose and taste than I care for, but not a bad beer in my opinion.

Tall boy can @ home. Dark brown appearance with a big bubbly, dark brown head. Big roasty, dark chocolate malty, toasty coffee, slightly bitter aroma. Sweet, milky, light caramel, chocolate malty, tangy coffee, sweet flavor. Pretty sweet, roasted, dark malty taste with a roasty, chocolate aftertaste.

A black pour with ruby highlights and a creamy tan head. It has a roasted aroma with notes of peanut butter and milk chocolate. The medium body has a slick texture with average carbonation. It has a sweet taste that fades a little with the roasted finish.

Dark with a tannish color head. Roasty and toasty overall, this has a burnt maltiness with some hints of coffee and yeast.

UPDATED: JAN 30, 2012 Tasted on tap at Oeno in Old Town, Wichita, Kansas, USA in pint glass, but I’ve had the cans as well, and both are equally good. Poured a very dark, opaque reddish brown color with creamy tan head, lasting with some lace. Standard stout characteristics: roasted barley, mild hops, residual sweetness, with a uniquely creamy and complex aftertaste. Interesting. Recommended.

Draught at Brixx. Opaque pour with copper edges and one finger of creamy tan head. Muted aroma, light sweetness and slightly grainy character with some roast . Mild and smooth flavor, medium roast with some sweet coffee and chocolate. Medium body and low carbonation.

Serving glass: Poured from can into Nonic Imperial Pint. Appearance: Ruby black with thin tan head and spotty lacing. Aroma: Sweet molasses, roasted malt and milk chocolate. Smells decadent and rich, especially at first. Taste: Nice semi-sweet mix of chocolate, molasses, roasted malt and licorice. Minimal bitterness - while the smooth, rounded malts are appreciated, a little hop balance or extra roasted bite could have helped. Palate: Low carbonation, smooth body that is fairly light. Too thin. Overall: A solid, malty and drinkable Sweet Stout. Good session beer overall, even if there is no "wow" factor. Probably would be better with a slightly bigger body and a touch more bitterness.

Nice sweet stout that doesn’t have too much alcohol. Good bit of body and nice head. Pretty enjoyable.
