3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
16 ounce can, 11 238 stamped on the bottom side of it. Served in a pint glass, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch tan head. Head retention and lacing are both decent enough. Aroma is roasted malt, bittersweet and milk chocolate, and some coffee. The taste is just like the aroma, with a good balance between the sweet and bitter flavors. Mouthfeel/body is light/medium, it’s a little on the thin side but also a bit coating with moderate carbonation. It’s smooth and very easy to drink. I think it’s a solid overall brew, I’d buy this again.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
16oz. can. I finally decided not to let the name dissuade me from trying this stuff. Sweet, milk chocolate aroma, roasty and creamy with lighter notes of coffee and caramel. Black in color with dark brown highlights, head is off-white, fine and lasting. Flavor is decidedly sweet and chocolatey, these aspects dominating throughout, with lighter amounts of roastiness and faint coffee towards the finish, also a tinge of bitterness appearing here. Smooth, light and creamy on the palate, body is light-medium. Perhaps not a lot going on here, but pleasant enough and certainly easy to quaff.

Can… Pours coal black with a small, frothy, khaki head. Decent retention. The nose furnishes deeply roasted malts, toasted pistachios, vanilla, a touch of fudge and a splash of espresso. Medium to full-bodied and mildly creamy with limp carbonation. Sweet, roasty, fudge flavor – very low bitterness level. Minerally, lightly sweet finish. Can courtesy of StFun!

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Purchased from City Cellars in Cincinnati, Ohio - Well, this one is basically bison chocolate and malty madness... it’s a goode beer, a fine sweet stout, but not worth the price I paid (8.99) I paid for the four can pack.
