COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
BUFFALO SWEAT
(ABV 5.0%, 20 IBU)

We love this beer here at the brewery, and think you will have one of those ďIíve never-tasted-a-beer-like-thatĒ kind of moments when you try it!

What we really like about this beer is the smoothness that brewing with cream sugar brings to the palate. This smoothness balances out the copious quantities of roasted barley used in the brewing process to create a rich, complex, and delicious beer. If you have not been a stout drinker in the past, give this beer a try. It might just change your mind about how dark beers should taste. It tastes so rich, but is surprisingly easy to drink!

Canít find the sweat? Donít sweat it. Just ask for Buffalo Sweat at your local liquor store or your favorite tavern.

16 oz can poured a clear dark reddish brown with a small lingering tan head. Aromas of roasted malt, coffee, bakers cocoa and light vanilla. Palate was light bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of roasted malt, bitter chocolate, light vanilla and a hint of coffee with a smooth dry lingering roasty finish.

16 ounce can courtesy of phaleslu. Thanks! Pours a dark brown color with a thin creamy offwhite head. Fair head retention and lacing. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malts and a bit of nuttiness. The taste is chocolate primarily, with some faint roastiness. Mild hoppiness in the finish. Medium bodied. Tasty beer.

crusianbeer (116) - Texas, USA - OCT 17, 2010
Can from mcnellies in tulsa. Pours into a guiness glass thicker and blacker than I thought. About a finger of head. Sweet Chocolate and roasted malts on the nose. Very mild nose, moreso than I would have liked, but on par with a milk stout. Very sweet milky smoothness, but ends with a bitter finish. Much drier than any other milk stout I have ever had. Chocolate and roast on the palate. Not bad for a 5% stout. They pack a lot of flavor in it.

16 oz can. Pours a clear dark brown body with a small fizzy light brown head that faded quickly to a thin ring. The nose is very roasty with a hefty lactose sugar note. Some coffee creamer, burnt malt, and a very minimal hop note. The flavor is a little overly sweet, even for a lactose stout. Itís totally overpowering the rest of the beer. It does finish a little better with some dark-roast coffee and roast. It comes across as a little too thin in its maltiness, a litllte more might help to balance out the lactose some. Medium bodied, slightly slick and oily in texture with minimal soft carbonation. Stll fairly drinkable, but not one to contemplate for too long.

16 oz. can. Pouring nearly black, close inspection reveals an extremely dark mahogany color to the body. A small, creamy head of light mocha foam settles quickly to a ramped up edge with a wispy center film. Wet arches of lacing break up into rounded flares and splotches. The nose is pretty nice, showing notes of bittersweet chocolate roast, sweetened espresso, milk sugars, and roasted caramel. Mild earthen hops support the roast in the balancing effort, but itís still largely choco-caramel driven. Flavors follow suit, giving notes of nougat, dry cocoa, and caramel, with some toasted oats and a subtle lactic sweetness. Though this is an Łber fresh can, the grain seems on the verge of turning stale. Iíd suspect that this beer wonít hold up long, but for now itís a pretty solid sweet stout. The palate is smooth and creamy, though lacking a little body and finishing a bit too sweet and sugary for my taste. Still, itís good for the style. 3rd beer from this brewery and Iíd say they make consistently good, simple, inoffensive beers.

Shared with others at brew club. Pours a medium beige head, over a clear, dark brown (SRM 35) body....nose is coffee, chocolate, toffee....taste is chocolate, coffee with a light sweet finish.....mouth feel is light, near watery, carbonation low. A Stout that is a bit light for my palate. BJCP 6/3/12/4/6

Pours dark brown with off white head, fizzy. Aroma is nuts, oatmeal, and some roasted malt. Taste is thin, with some roast, nutty flavors that finishes sweet. Not bad, but a bit one dimensional and thin.

Pours very dark with a sturdy tan head. The aroma has heavily toasted malt, cream, sugar, nuttiness and mild duds. Medium smooth body thatís quite velvety with some sharp carbonation. The flavor starts with heavily toasted malt, not getting the roastiness that comes with most stouts. There is also nuttiness, cream and milk chocolate. The finish adds spicy hops and a bit of coffee-esque bitterness. To me this seems more like a brown ale than a stout. Doesnít matter what style it official falls in to me, I like the beer.

Canned. Black pour, tan head faded quickly. Roasty malt nose. Rasty, slightly smoky, sweet chocolatey flavor. Moderately bitter finish. Mouthfeel is a bit thin. Nice flavor, well balanced, but nothing really stands out. A nice drinking stout.

Poured out of the can a deep almost black with a thick tan head. Lovely chocolate and cream aroma. Love love the flavor, just so easy to like with perfect creaminess and sweetness, although a bit more roast in the finish for that espresso type finish would have been a nice counter punch. SO happy though to find this in Mississippi.....best thing I can think of that I can find locally.
