COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
BUFFALO SWEAT
(ABV 5.0%, 20 IBU)

We love this beer here at the brewery, and think you will have one of those ďIíve never-tasted-a-beer-like-thatĒ kind of moments when you try it!

What we really like about this beer is the smoothness that brewing with cream sugar brings to the palate. This smoothness balances out the copious quantities of roasted barley used in the brewing process to create a rich, complex, and delicious beer. If you have not been a stout drinker in the past, give this beer a try. It might just change your mind about how dark beers should taste. It tastes so rich, but is surprisingly easy to drink!

Canít find the sweat? Donít sweat it. Just ask for Buffalo Sweat at your local liquor store or your favorite tavern.

16 oz can. Brown pour, thin tan head that quickly fades. Roasted coffee aroma & flavor as well. Thin mouthfeel, finish is a bit watery but does leave some of the coffee flavor.

Tasted 7/9/10. Pint Can. Beautifully webbed off-white head atop a filtered and almost opaque dark brown hue. Aromas of dark roasted malts. Coffee and dark bitter chocolate. Good roast! Rather full bodied with a nice roast. Flavors of brownies and a slight nuttiness. Slight sweetness, but I really picked up a lot more of the bitter roasted malts. But very nice and great drinking from a can!

Pour is a black with a small tan head. Aroma is nice with lots of roasted malt and coffee. Flavor is about the same just a bit lighter. Some coffee is there with a roasted malt but again kind of thin at the end. Still there are just enough good qualities in this for a sample.

One of my favorite beer names and a new state for me. This beer pours black and red with a short lived tan head. Visually, it reminds me of a thin version of the style. A big roasted and coffee aroma with some dark fruit noted as the coffee settled. Flavor is muddled. Coffee and cream stand out but hops are in the background that donít compliment. Some molasses, dark fruit, smoked peat. Warmer temps smoothed some of the rough edges but not quite enough to call this above average.

In the bottle from KJís HyVee. Pours black as night with a small to medium dark beige head. Head is creamy in appearance. Mild roasted aroma. The flavor is thin. A thin roastedness and a thin tart finish. Iím not sure what they are trying to achieve with this beer, but it does not get there.

Bottle. Dark pour with an offwhite head. Aroma of mild coffee. Kind of thin and uninteresting.

[Bottle] Pours a deep brown color with a small beige head. Light aroma of chocolate and dark roasted malts. The taste is quite lactic, with dry cocoa and molasses the dominant notes. Some hazelnut and vanilla notes lingering in there as well. Thin and somewhat diluted. I was a little underwhelmed by this Tallgrass offering.

12 oz. bottle via trade with Pawola22- thanks again, Brian! Pours a dark brown, opaque with lighter brown highlights when held up to light, and a finger-thick tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, metallic notes, peat, dark fruits, cream, and brown sugar. Flavor of roasted malts, brown sugar, chocolate, earthy notes, cream, dark fruits, cardboard, and smoked wood. Medium-bodied, with mild carbonation and a dry, chocolaty mouthfeel. This is pretty nice. By far the best beer Iíve tried from Tallgrass, this hits the spot.

Sampled on 2/5/2010. This sweet stout pours a dark black color from a 12oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is chocolate and coffee, slightly sweet. A medium bodied sweet stout. The malts are chocolate and coffee, with a touch of vanilla. Hops are earthy. A somewhat sweet and chocolate stout. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is sweet.

Tap. Poured a dark black color with a smaller tam head. Aroma was creamy, roasted malts and coffee. Flavor was sweeter with roasted malts, coffee, chocolate, and burnt notes comoing through. A good beer. Decent beer.
