COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
BUFFALO SWEAT
(ABV 5.0%, 20 IBU)

We love this beer here at the brewery, and think you will have one of those ďIíve never-tasted-a-beer-like-thatĒ kind of moments when you try it!

What we really like about this beer is the smoothness that brewing with cream sugar brings to the palate. This smoothness balances out the copious quantities of roasted barley used in the brewing process to create a rich, complex, and delicious beer. If you have not been a stout drinker in the past, give this beer a try. It might just change your mind about how dark beers should taste. It tastes so rich, but is surprisingly easy to drink!

Canít find the sweat? Donít sweat it. Just ask for Buffalo Sweat at your local liquor store or your favorite tavern.

Poured into a snifter. Dark, dark and darker color. BLACK. Thick two fingers of head that refused to budge. Lots of burnt and roasted malt and coca. Bready, roasted malt and a little less burnt malt. A very mild bitterness. Super creamy and smooth. Really amazing texture. Lighter body than expected with moderate carbonation. Hits the spot for a milk stout. Easy to drink and really good.

Black with a creamy beige head. Subtle roasted malt aroma, chocolate, light earth, sugary sweetness. Full, smooth, creamy body. Flavor is very well put together with all the flavors melting to become one enjoyable beer. Roasted malts, chocolate, a bit of earth notes. A very enjoyable stout. Iím not generally a fan of Tallgrass but this one is fantastic.

On tap at Old Chicago in Kerney, NE. Opaque, very dark mahogany with a fine, light tan head and excellent lacing. Aroma of roasted coffee, milk chocolate and lightly roasted malt. Taste of milk chocolate, lightly roasted malt and roasted coffee with an ever so slightly sour finish. Medium/full body and medium/low carbonization. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at Fireflour, Bismarck, North Dakota. Figured, Iíd take a stab at this since my pizza took a good 45 minutes to show up. This was poured into a pint glass. The appearance was a pure dark brown color with a slim half fingered white to off white foamy head dissipating to a film coating the top of the glass. The smell had a sweet roasted coffee bean with a huge chocolate awesomeness. The taste mostly copied the smell and lead to a sweet semi-dry aftertaste and finish. On the palate, this sat about a medium on the body and had a good sipping quality about it. The carbonation was smoot and lead to a nice creaminess. Overall, definitely a great milk/sweet stout I would love to have again.

Nice little oatmeal stout here. I say little b/c it's only 5%. ABV needs to be higher. Probably around 6ish. Nevertheless, it's a super easy drinker w/ a good creamy palate and just the right amount of roastiness.

16oz can at Brentís going away tasting, July 2014. Black pour with a nice tan head, great lacing. Nice aroma, pleasantly sweet milk chocolate, some roast, a cream/marshmallow sense. Good flavor, creamy, milk chocolate, some roast, caramel, toffee. Not bad.

Pint can poured into a snifter at approximately 40 degrees F. Appearance: Pours like a cola, before pooling into the glass a dark, dark brown. Forms a fluffy pale tan head, which dissipates relatively quickly into a ring. Not much lacing at all. Smell: Sweet malt, like a scorched cotton candy flavored with caramel and toffee, with some milk chocolate notes. The sugary notes seem more like brown sugar than lactose, and Iíll blame that on the oatmeal. Taste: The first thing that comes to mind is sweetened dark bread, like a pumpernickel that has had caramel and unmelted sugar drizzled over it. Thereís a "warm, yeasty" aspect to the taste, before the lactose sweetness rushes in. Cocoa notes resound faintly through the finish. As it warms, the chocolate flavors become a bit more present and pronounced throughout the entire tasting process, and a very faint tinge of light coffee lurks off in the distance, rounding off the "sweet dark bread" profile. Mouthfeel: A bit on the thin side for a stout, verging on yet never becoming watery. Thereís a bit of carbonation sharpness, almost a little too much. Overall: An enjoyable milk stout, all maltiness and sweetness, with just hints here and there of more bitter flavors. Itís an easy drinking brew that doesnít necessarily encourage sipping so much as drinking. Anyone criticizing this for being "too sweet" is confusing milk stouts with some other kind of stout. Will repeat.
